I had to drop off two bags of clothing to my local thrift store this morning so of course, popped in to have a wee browse. One of the adorable clerks, who knows me quite well by now, grabbed me by the arm going on about a really cute blazer that she thinks will suit me....and she was right! It's a Nic & Zoe linen blend blazer in taupe with embroidered magenta/pink flowers all over it. It's cropped and as soon as I saw it, I knew it would work perfectly with my taupe slouchy trousers. It was $10 but because I still had a coupon that expires tomorrow, I only paid $7. Along with my other thrift finds this month, I am now $3 over my May Madness limit. No more thrifting for me this month. But I'm ok with that 'cause I LOVE THIS BLAZER! I hurried home all excited and put it on with my slouchy trousers right away and it is PERFECT! It's the cropped look I wanted and the colours are divine together. You'll be seeing it in action next week!
ETA: I've added a pic of the blazer with the slouchy trousers. Sorry for the poor lighting and colour - having a wee bit of trouble with my camera. Also, I just finished digging in the garden for two hours so please excuse my hair and lack of makeup. So what do you think?
