Brocade slides: how to wear them?

Deb, I don't do skirts anymore and have been "off" my dresses lately, but I do have a midi length sweater dress -- it's a light grey. Would that work? With black leather moto?

Note if you can't tell from the photo, the shoes have a lot of rose gold too. They're actually pretty over the top, but I like them...

Canada, these seem really well made. They have substantial cushioning and though pointed do not cramp or squeeze my toes -- I think because the point runs longer past my toes. They are comfortable right out of the box.

The only other Jcrew shoes I've owned are the metallic thongs. I have two sets of those I've used for years and years for beach wear. They are the only thongs my toes can tolerate.

I want to see them with mid- to dark wash cropped/cuffed jeans -- and whatever kind of top and topper works for you. I'm envisioning a white blouse and a black, long-ish blazer, but I tend to go simpler with an outfit when the shoes are statement-y. I think pretty much anything could work.

ETA: oops, I'm captain obvious -- with the denim and white shirt. Ugh, I'm so basic!

I say go maximalist, with a big floral top (how do you do in red?) that has some yellow bits. Pants in the background color of the top. Or get a big scarf with that kind of pattern, to go with the dress you just mentioned. (But—sweater dress + mules = seasonal confusion?)

You could pattern mix with a black and white striped top, or a plaid.

A blush topper would be great too.

Floral-wise, try them with your AE top.
I can’t find the pattern I was thinking of—mostly petals, not bunches of flowers lying on a field of whatever color. Although that might work too.

FashionIntern -- I like your ideas and can visualize them. May be too over the top for me as I'm not much of a maximalist these days-- but who knows. The sweater dress is long sleeve but it's quite light, perfect for mule-wearing spring/fall weather. In the spring I wore it with a light blue jean jacket and white sneakers.

I'm not sure about floral top with these. May be too much for me. But I'll give it a try.....

Sarah - you are brilliant! Love the idea of a striped top, and I just purchased a blush cashmere sweater. Cross fingers it's a flattering shade for me as blush can be tricky for me. But I do have a blush cross-body and it works with these shoes. Not sure about the plaid but I don't own anything plaid right now except scarves.

I'm kicking myself for recently (18 months ago) decluttering a mustard yellow clutch. It's like I know exactly when trends are returning -- sigh. Or maybe some designer thrifted my clutch and then was inspired to bring back mustard this fall ?

I would do that shoe with my black wide leg pants. That toe and that color would pop just right with such a pant. Toss in a touch of yellow in another accessory (bracelet, belt, scarf, bag, etc) to kind of tie a look together without doing yellow near your face (yellow is not kind to my complexion either, so I totally get it)

I also think it would be super cute with a cropped jean or cropped pant

I would wear them with 7/8 leg black trousers and black top, add a blush or yellow solid or patterned scarf. Maybe a black patent bag for some texture.

Or same trousers, blush solid top, black blazer and yellow gold accessories to echo the colours of the shoes. Not very innovative, I know, but it is what comes to mind

ETA just saw that there is a lot of rose gold - that would be nice with a column of black, some rose gold accessories and a blush cross body perhaps...

These are so beautiful and I like the bag that Joy has suggested and Katerina's suggestion on the rose gold.

I am thinking black trousers and top, perhaps a duster coat. But I think they would look good for a smartened casual look with jeans, and a crisp white shirt.

I am nodding with you on the yellow near my face.
