Brocade skinnies. K/R? Styling?

I ordered these brocade skinnies on a whim--they were $27 (brand is Material Girl) and I thought they might be fun for the holidays. What do you think? I have an opinion but I'll withhold for now. Please be honest.

Shown with the BR lace top that Angie has in the store, which is probably going back--I think it's too short with these skinnies and I'm afraid my baby will tear up the delicate lace (which is extremely subtle). Apparently I forgot to put on any shoes!

If I keep these, I'd love some styling suggestions.

I think the length of the top looks fine with the skinnies. It doesn't look too short to me. The brocade looks fun and holiday appropriate without being the predictable red or silver.

I really like this on you! Yes, the shirt works great with the pants.

I do understand about the baby. Is the lace shirt something you could wear to work? If not, while it looks fab, I honestly think return it. I have a little one, and I choose my clothes somewhat around her (minimizing dryclean only as these are the outfits she wipes a messy hand on, putting my blazer in the car and donning it after I drop her off, etc).

Still, if it could fit into your life, it looks fab!

Really?! Yay! I liked the outfit in the mirror but in the photo I thought it was unflattering and that my lower half was too curvy to pull it off. I struggle with judging fit. You are all invaluable! *love*

I have another styling idea for these that I will try later today and post.

Thistle, I hear you. I'm not working right now (hoping to start freelancing a tiny bit soon but that will probably be WAH). I do quite a lot of volunteer work and could wear this top for that. Baby will be out of the super-grabby stage in 6 months or less, too. Almost all my other clothes are very baby-friendly.

ETA that these skinnies really exemplify my curvy/hourglassy-ness--they are actually much too loose in the waist but fit just right everywhere else. I may have them altered or just use my Invisibelt, as I'm doing in the photo.

Love these! I only just started wearing this length top with skinnies, but I like it now. I understand, though, if you think it's too delicate for your lifestyle - my three "kids" all have pointy, pointy claws. I would wear the jeans as you would wear any skinnies - maybe a tunic top with a cropped jacket? Short boots and a slouchy/boxy sweater? Chunky knit?

Love this! The pants are great. Try them with a hi-low or cropped sweater, or a turtleneck layered under a sheer louse, or a pussybow blouse, or a white shirt buttoned all the way up+cardigan - lots of possibilities here!

Awesome for the holiday season! I can just see them with alot of styles of black or leather blazers. Beautiful.

Oh darn! Yes, they're the Material Girl brocade skinnies from the Bay. I got them during Bay Days, which is like a sad version of the NAS, LOL. These are size 11!

The lace overlay is on the black BR top. These pants are DEFINITELY not high end enough for an actual lace overlay (but how awesome would that be?).

If the denim shirt I ordered from ON works out, I'm thinking it would be fun with these.
