Great tip! They also have some tonal jacquard pants that might be more wearable for me day to day. Inexpensive and worth a try - I've been wanting brocade or jacquard pants since I joined ylf several years ago. I can't find the velvet Blazers on the Canadian site.
I am a bit annoyed at the festive ankle pants trend. Love the look but I'm not going to wear pumps or flats and bare ankles in December in my climate.
I often order mutiple sizes and generally return 80% of my orders from the Gap and Old Navy. They encourage it and have terrible in-store service plus lack of sizing stock so I feel no compunction.

I am headed out to the mall now to make some returns. My ON doesn't carry these in the store, but they probably have the Pixie pant in other styles. I will try on a pair and see how the sizing is, and report back later.

I have tried on the velvet pixie pants. They have a little less give than the regular pixies and the black didn't look that dressy. Liked the purple and pink/burgundy colors

I went to the store and tried on the ones in my finds below. I go between two sizes in pants, and these were way too big in one size and a tad tight in the waist in the smaller size. I have a very straight figure, and these are probably best suited for someone with a bit more of a curvier shape than mine.

I tried (and actually bought, but am returning because the color didn't work with my wardrobe) the velvet pixie pants. I had to size down one from my regular size. They're really stretchy!
