Pretty decent write up on a woman in Britain and the results of her WIW blog:

From your point of view, as a viewer --are fashion blogs becoming more mainstream or are they more an enthusiast's thing.? Has Saturday Night Live done a fashion blog sketch yet LOL?? My circle of people is very small and i don't hear talk at all of fashion blogs in general. I have mentioned them to my friends but have no response--we're not fashiony really--but I know I have questions and NEEDS <l8+D

It seems like everyone has a blog these days, so I guess I'd agree that it's more mainstream. I don't read that many, though, because I find it hard to relate to the crazy outfits people wear -- I much prefer to get inspiration off YLF! However, I do really appreciate fashion blogs with a special point of view like Budget Babe, Alreadypretty, and those of the members here, as the styles are much more wearable.

As for this particular blog mentioned... I don't find the outfits that interesting, and I don't need to see that much of anyone's boobs, but good for her for finding her following!

I think blogs are fairly mainstream, and I enjoy many.
My only critique is .
Some women bloggers have an incredible sense of style, no doubt, however...Most of the bloggers are NOT fashion stylists but dish out info like they are pro's.It all seems a bit self absorbed and indulgent to me.

This is why I am so devoted to Angie's blog and YLF...she actually is a pro:) Shares real info and whenever she posts her outfits...something to be learned and inspired
by..

To Rae's point..I don't find her blog one I would follow...too self indulgent...but it works for her. How much stroking does a person need!

I chuckled looking at the pics in that article. I have no problem with a little bit of tasteful cleavage, but it would appear that National Cleavage Day happens quite frequently there!

Part of me is really happy that there was no internet, Facebook, etc., when I was in my teens and twenties.

Taylor pretty much summed up my feelings around that blog and others. I've only really discovered fashion blogs in the last six months or so, and I glance at many of them, but can truly relate to very few. I love the YLF community for it's diversity and open attitude!

Haha, I just noticed this post. I'd have to agree with the others: it might be the collection of hooterific close-ups that's drawing all the hits from the boys.

But, hey, whatever floats your boat, right? She looks like she's having fun.

To be fair, it is the Daily Mail website, not the blogger herself, that focuses on cleavage shots. I just scrolled through several week's worth of the actual blog, and there aren't that many of those at all. Of course, the daily mail would choose the most "newsworthy" photos (ahem) for their article!

In any case, although this is not a blog that appeals to me personally, there are "what I wore" type blogs that I follow, because I like to see outfits that real people put together, especially if I have something in common with them (similar body type, age, style, etc.). Frankly, I need all the help I can get. *g*
