Yep I'm here - we were sent home from work as it's in a fairly low lying area and while it's not in immediate risk of flooding we got out while we could as the surrounding roads ate getting worse by the minute. Safe at home right now, my area (Ipswich) is getting some evacuations but my suburb is up on a hill so we're pretty safe. There is a king tide coming which is supposed to peak around 2pm today and the same again tomorrow so fingers crossed it wont have too much of an effect on us. The river closest to us (Bremer) is peaking at the moment at about 16m and they're expecting it to get higher. Just watching the news and the Brisbane River is breaking it's banks in various areas and there is a mass exodus from the city everyone trying to get home.
Just wanted to give a shout out. Glad you are safe, puffenstuff. Hope everyone else is too. Even though a lot of us are worrying about winter weather and are on the other side of the world, we're thinking of you and want to hear how you are dealing with this.
