Bright Spring shopping: me in color!

The other day I posted about my (shocking!) experience with a Sci-Art color analyst, who identified me as a bright clear Spring. For an account of my shock and disbelief:

Well, I'm starting to see the light. My mom and I went shopping again today, and actually bought a few bright pieces. I also bought new makeup, as the color analyst suggested. Coral! Brights! Yikes! At first I was very resistant, but by the end of the day I had to admit that I looked younger and more alive in the new colors.

#1 - sleeveless top from Anthropologie
#2 - neon coral shirt from JCrew
#3-4 - closeup of new shirts and makeup
#5 - bright coral lipstick, blush and bangles

I'm still at my mom's, but I fully plan to engage on YLF when I get home this weekend and explore my closet with new eyes. I owe you all some comments!

I am a spring as well! Welcome to the club! Those coral shirts look fabulous on you. I usually stick to a blue palette as I find it easier to shop for in stores. I'll have to try that jcrew shirt. What lipstick brand and color did you pick up?

I had to go back and look at your prior posts for comparison. You looked refined before, but now you look so vibrant! Really draws attention to your great skin. It's amazing what a color change can do.

Nancy, I remember one of your very first posts was of a JCrew coral shirt that I thought was lovely on you. This is a great color for you!

Thanks so much for the validation, everyone! These bright clear colors are such a big switch for me after years of convincing myself that I looked best in muted, muddy colors. I really love autumn and feel cozy and "safe" in those muted colors, but I'm slowly coming to realize that I have to move out of my comfort zone and embrace my bright natural coloring in order to look my best.

It's really amazing, too, how much difference the right makeup makes. I can hardly believe how much brighter and younger my skin looks by just changing up the tinted moisturizer, blush, and lipstick.

Christina, the lipstick is NARS in "Niagara" and the blush is Sephora brand "Orange Pop." Here's the link to the JCrew shirt:

Shevia, I'm not sure yet where this is going! I've got a closet full of muted, subdued colors at home waiting to be reckoned with.....but I'll do my best to document the journey.

Help! I am trying to see the photos but can't as I am still a newbie. I too suspect I am not a Deep Winter but a Bright Winter or Bright Spring so would love to see them.
