Bright pink coat- opinions needed.(Y/N)

Dear YLF,

I saw this coat and really liked the color but am not very sure how it is supposed to fit or if it is flattering.
Can you please tell me if I should go for it or not ?

I'd look at the q's regarding is it a 10 and do I love it if it duplicates things.
The color is fabulous, so that is a good reason to get another coat even if you have "enough" coats, sometimes, since colors come and go and coats last for years, that fits "buy your colors when you can". But you need to really love (or like a lot-needs to tick your coat-boxes for this type of coat--meaning, a polar vortex gear coat has different critera from a wool day coat).
The fit looks pretty good but you say dunno--if it's returnable, that might be a reason to take home and try with layers and such. It looks like shoulders are okay and sleeves are maybe a bit long if anything but not too, since layering and movement will hike them up.
I do button my coats when it's really chilly but I like them to look good unbuttoned. So you might look at that. The high collar suits you, but I can't see all of it and the upper part well, so again, collar styles are something that can look dated or funny and you need to like that.
It looks like the pockets are slanted side-entry, and I really require that in winter coats. Hate those patch pocket things.

I think you may be trying to determine, is the color so good and so rare to come across, and the coat is good enough so that overall it is very happy, and good price point, and not really planning a search for "the best" raspberry coat after this one. That does fit PPP, actually.

I was thinking about the 'need ' aspect of this.
I have a teal wool coat that I love and have for a couple of years and it's getting into the stage of wear for special occasions because I want it to last for some more years.
I have a cheap navy wool coat that I wore a lot last year.
This coat would fill the everyday fun wool coat.
Also, regarding fit, I feel very comfortable in it but I am not very sure if it is supposed to fit like this.

It is a wonderful color on you. I once had a similar color in a trench-like coat and wore it quite a lot. Now I have a more true pink peacoat that I wear like crazy in the dead of winter. I find these colors are wonderful in cold weather.

Viva, I also have a trench coat almost in this color and I am always sorry that I cannot wear it in our fall because it is not lined, more of a warm spring/fall or rainy summer day kind of trench.
That is why I jumped when I saw a wool coat in the same color.

As others have said, that color is lovely on you. It almost looks like it is made for a taller person but it could just be the pic. it is hard to tell on outerwear.

The fit looks good to me. The shoulders are sitting where they should, the collar lays nicely, the sleeves are a good length and not too wide. Given that it's a colour you love, I think you should keep it.
