I had a great time back in Boston - a YLF meetup, saw several friends, and tons of family time. The reunion was a bit of a bust - not that many people came and it was a letdown. But I did wear my leather skinnies and a Vince navy silk tunic I found at T.J. Maxx with my sister - got lots of compliments and felt great.
In purchasing news, I had to exchange my Rag & Bone pj jeams in Sheffield after they came apart at the seam on first washing. Surprised because the first pair held up so well. Anyway, Nordies was wonderful about exchanging, and while I was there I spied this cobalt fuzzy Vince Camuto sweater. It looks MUCH better on me than the model (sorry, not modest but it looks horrible on her!), and is a nice bright color. But it does have that Muppet vibe.
It also led me to a new issue. With a bright top and non-black patterned skirt, what color tights would work? This seems best with a nude, but it's not warm enough for nude hose. Black is a bit harsh. And what color shoes? I'll post an outfit pic so you can see my struggle. This may be why I don't wear skirts in winter. I feel that black footwear limits color options with legwear and outfits. Evidently I dress from the feet up. Thoughts?
