Bridesmaid or prom dress?

I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this, but here goes:
I bought this dress for prom and I don't know if it looks too bridesmaid. Help please. Thanks in advance.
Here is where I bought the dress. http://www.sammydress.com/product1866613.html the picture that the website put of the dress is not completely accurate, but they have the customer photos section to check and I am planning on getting the petticoat.

It looks lovely and I think the collar makes it look retro not bridesmaid. The price concerns me though -seems too good to be true i.e. there may be quality issues.

It does not seem to and I will only be wearing it for prom so it seems like it will be fine.

This is beautiful! I did see in the reviews where the crinoline or petticoat does not come with the dress? Do you have one, or can you find one to buy or borrow?

One caveat about Sammydress, they have terrible online reviews, and my Bf's was one of them. He was being a sweetie and ordered several dresses for me. They charged his Amex immediately. Six weeks later, we still did not have the dresses -they ship from China - and repeated email queries went unanswered. He called Amex and disputed the charge successfully. Only after that, did we get an apologetic response that the order was cancelled. It had not even been shipped yet.

I don't want to take away your joy, but there seem to be a lot of these reviews for Sammydress in third party sites, so if you go with this dress, use a card that will let you dispute the charges if it never arrives, and give yourself a good amount of time to receive it.

The dress is cute and does not look like bridesmaid dress to me at all.

I would be careful with the site though, I have heard a lot of bad things about them, like the La Belle Demimondaine has already described. Hope it works out for you.
