BR/Gap new international shipping but not Aus :(

I was SO excited to see that BR etc had new international shipping using Fifty-One (the same company that does international shipping with Nordies) but Australia is not one of the countries they ship to...although NZ is!

I emailed them to ask if they would be shipping to Aus and got the standard 'We hope to expand our international shipping destinations soon" line.

Hmm, Tam uses a forwarding service. I'm sure it can't be much more expensive, if at all.

I use one too Maya, but I'd be interested to hear from Tam?

Mine costs $8.50 per package fee and the cost of postage (which for one pair of boots is usually around $60 US).

Ugh, they're using Fifty-one too? That disappoints me because their shipping and duty fees are very, very inflated. I don't understand why companies like the BR/Gap/ON empire who have tons of stores in Canada can't also have a shipping warehouse IN CANADA. I'm sure there's some kind of business reason for it, but it still makes me cranky.

they are pretty good- they consolidate parcels and have quick postage.

I've checked out shopaholiques and got a quote but she's quite a bit more expensive than Shipito

Wow $8.50 is pretty good. Yes boots are expensive huh.....I guess if ordering from Nordies it may even make sense just to get them shipped directly to Australia then (don't they charge 60 anyway). Worth it for boots though! I find out boot selection here sadly limited!!!!

I ended up paying $57 for postage from Nordies which wasn't too bad (shipping one pair of boots usually costs me $42-44 if the website ships to Aus).

This is the best site I've found so far for shoes http://www.heels.com
