Hurray! AndI really empathize with the article, as my daughter has size 11 feet. It is NOT easy to find shoes, and I am thankful for Nordstrom/Rack. Perhaps when my daughter solidifies her style more, we'll get her a pair of Fluevogs!
Irina, i don’t wear high heels either; trying on some Fluevogs last fall nearly changed my mind, if not for the price tag. They were all very comfortable and balanced in a way that was easy to wear.
Thanks, Fash. I probably require another 5 months to fully recover from my leg injury. I will then reassess what I’m able to wear but doubt any heels are in my future, sadly.
I saw her speak here in Ottawa just before COVID and she was amazing. I have both of her books and they feel solid to me. I would love a pair of these shoes but the left leg is not cooperating with an acl reconstruction and then last year I broke my ankle. I’ve donated almost all of my heels. I will have to enjoy on others.
What a treasure she is and what a poignant and moving story - I spent the afternoon shoe shopping with my soon to be middle school kids and 'will I be cool or laughed at in this' was so clearly on the forefront of their minds. I love that she incorporates her shoe selections into helping set up a welcoming environment for her patients. Living in a semi rural area with unexciting shoe selections I haven't thought of Fluevog shoes in years, this makes me want to seek them out the next time we're in a city with a store.
