All I can say after last night is, HOLY CRAP!

The most intense hour of TV I think I've ever seen. No spoilers, I just wanted to see who else is a fan and if you were shaken as hard as I was by it.

I'm a huge fan, but have been buying eps off amazon due to time conflicts. Do you recommend viewing this earlier in the day? I have trouble sleeping as it is.

The last two episodes were a bit ploddy (which is relative for such a tightly written show) but seemed to perform as set ups for the story. I'm a bit in dread but also happy that the standards have stated so high (unlike shows like Dexter, that have recently disappointed me). Gonna go out with a bang!

Yeah, I would maybe watch in the early evening to give yourself some time to wind down afterwards. Immediately after it ended, I went and poured myself a second glass of wine.

I got my husband into watching it while we were on vacation a few weeks ago. He is now starting season 5, and we want him to get caught up in time to watch the final episode with me in real time. Now I wish we'd caught him up earlier so we could have watched last night's episode together.

I've never watched Dexter, but I hear awful things about the ending.

Yes! It was a great episode! I'm so curious how the writers will wrap everything up with only 2 episodes left.

The Dexter season with the Trinity Killer (John Lithgow) was astonishing. Like with Mad Men, there were a lot of profound ideas the writing explored, but things devolved eventually. MM still watchable, but Dexter (and I haven't seen latest/final? season) really jumped the shark.

I'm so impressed with how natural and believable WW's transformation was. Jesse's and Skylar's....really honest writing.

We are all hooked in my household. I started watching just for "fun" as WW and Jessie were pretty comical in the beginning. If it COULD go wrong it WOULD go wrong for them....

I am in awe of the transformation of a really likeable, guy next door, sad-sack chem teacher into a a true sociopath...Is it bad that I still feel for him? (I think that was the idea the writers wanted by developing his likeable character in the first few seasons?)

And I love how they give just a tidbit of the final show that you have to wonder about ALL season long...(WW going back to his burned out house...What's that all about???) The writers of this show have been amazing! I can't wait to see how they end it, but my bad timing is such that the day after I land in London UK with my buddies for 10 days is the series finale!! (Not gonna look at the internet for the 10 days I'm there so I can watch it the second I get home! LOL)

I'm so impressed not only with the writing but the performances. I've admired Bryan Cranston's and Aaron Paul's work from the very beginning, but I have gained a whole new level of appreciation for Dean Norris, Anna Gunn, etc. I am going to miss these characters. Jesse breaks my heart.

I do still feel some bit of sympathy for Walt. That phone call was clearly meant to save Skyler.

And how adorable was little Holly last night. Her "mama mama mama" just killed me.

I have been thinking about that season-opening scene too, and pondering how they will get from where we left off last night to the point of the Whites' abandoned house and Walt taking the ricin out of that switchplate.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! I only got into this show a few weeks ago, and I am already up to date. I went through 5 seasons like it was CRACK! I couldn't stop. I think I'll be depressed an in withdrawal when this show ends, I that hooked on it. It's probably one of my top 5 favorites ever.

Raisin, same here - my DH wanted me to catch up so I could watch with him, so I spent an entire weekend glued to the TV.

I think we need a separate thread with spoilers so those of us who are caught up can share our thoughts without ruining it for the others!

But, I can talk about Dexter - I've hung in there with the show, even though I thought it jumped the shark after the Trinity Killer season. And now its almost over! I'm dying about the way it looks like its going to end! Eight seasons - for this????? Arrgghh!
