I've been in love with Loft's short sleeve hooded sweater coat for about a month now. http://www.anntaylorloft.com/p-27949.shtml
I had to get my watch battery replaced, and decided to stop by loft, even though part of the 30 for 30 is not shopping for those 30 days. Granted, I'm doing the 30 for 30 more for the remixing than the shopping ban (aka I'm not going to cheat and wear more than 30 items, but I'm not going to miss out on good sales on items that fit well and are my colors). Anyway, of course my loft still has the sweater coat in stock (though it's sold out online) and in my size (which for this item is XSP).
I brought it home, even though it breaks so many rules I have made for myself in the past year. Those include:
- no chunky knits
- no hoods
- buy layers that can be worn March - October
- don't buy layers with sleeves shorter than the tops I want to wear under them
But it's so warm and cozy and yet chic! I'm already having fantasies about wearing it on the plane ride to visit family in Seattle. Plus I knit, so I have a HUGE appreciation for the construction (and that it would be hard to find yarn to make this myself for cheaper than what I paid for it).
Opinions?
