I just bought a size 12 dress - not knit - from the Ann Taylor Factory Store. *boggle* But! That's not what I wanted to share with y'all. I have noticed that as my body has changed with my weight loss I've been buying from different stores. Of course, being on the plus/misses border before, now a lot of plus sizes no longer work for me. But in brands where I was still in misses, some of them no longer suit: I used to get a lot (either firsthand or via the thrift store) of Coldwater Creek and Chico's, and now their stuff doesn't fit me well. I think it's because they're aiming toward an apple/rectangle shape and now my waist/hip ratio is too big. I'm a little reluctant to lose much more weight because it honestly will make it hard to buy pants and skirts that will fit without having to alter the waist (I remember this unfondly from my 20s).
So far I haven't found a whole lot of brands that suddenly fit me again - I'm not that skinny, juniors is out of the question - although BR and AT are more likely to fit well now. And some brands at Kohl's. Maybe I've just gotten in a rut and am not looking the right places. I will say that a lot of the misses stuff at Nordstrom still doesn't suit me that well; it's all too short.
If you have lost or gained weight recently, have you changed what brands or styles you buy?
