Bralette for small band/large cup size?

I'm in the market for a new bralette kind of thing to wear around the house and maybe even under loose tops for quick casual errands. I'd like something cute and as flattering as possible.

The problem is, when I Google bralettes for big busts, I get a lot of results for plus-size options. I realize that it's not going to be easy to find something unstructured that fits a 31" under-bust measurement AND a E/F cup, but I thought I'd put it to the YLF hivemind and see if you all have any suggestions.

PS. I tried the attached Find at Nordstrom and it's not bad. I would need the shoulder straps taken up a bit -- it's just a little long in the straps on me.

Heh, well, it probably works for me as well as anything designed for a small cup size could work! It says 36" is a M, and that comes close to my actual bust measurement. The girls are not totally contained in the confines of that stretchy triangle of lace, but it's a little bit of coverage and a very slight bit of support. Enough to get away with around home.

I've been looking for one too. I'm a 30 under bust and a d or e cup.

Janet, I was about to recommend the one that you just linked to. I bought one from Free People a few weeks ago and just went back to buy another. I actually wore it around all day once underneath a dress and I did feel less..supported than I usually do by the very end of the day, but other than that it was fine! The advantage of these bralettes is that they're more breathable than normal bras which is great for summer. I think I'd have difficulty with them if I was any bigger busted than I am...I wear the XS and the band size is correct but it's borderline a bit small for my actual bust.

I would recommend staying away from the halter style bralette from Free People, it hurt my neck.

I wear the seam free bralette from Soma. It's super comfy but not lacey. They do have a lace version but I haven't tried it yet.

Following with interest. My new size is 30DD/E. While I've been able to get some at Nordstrom, I'm frustrated with the lack of selection. Missing the days I could walk into a store and find racks of 32's. :/

The Wacoal that Texstyle posted is pretty......but light support for A-C.

The most comfortable thing I found was the bras they give you post boob surgery, but they are hideous.

Geez, those things are so pretty - I admire them in UO often, but I could not even BEGIN to imagine wearing one and I'm a 32-24 D or DD. Am I too self-conscious? I just shudder to think about how it would look on me.

I'm a 32 G and am struggling with the bralette trend as well. I just bought one from Arie. I split my band vs. cup needs and ordered a M. The support seems good for home wear. The cups are brimming, and there a is slight spillage on the outside of the cups...but I fear an ideal fit may not be possible with this type of bra. Here is the link:

Have you looked at Elita brand bras? I think they are on amazon. It's a basic style but the modal ones are very comfortable in the summer.

Angie, I was thinking of something without hooks and just an easier pull-on style that wouldn't be so dependent on cup size, etc. This is for lounging around, so I'm not expecting great support. I have an old one from the Gap that I got before my surgery three years ago that has done the job well, but it's getting a little worn. I just thought I'd see if there was something cuter out there (partly for Jamie's benefit ;-).

I tried the Aerie bralette that Current mentioned, but my 32 D/E self ended up with exploding boobage everywhere. It may depend on the shape of your breasts, though. Such a cute bra. *sigh*

It's described as light support for A-C cups, but I found the material is very stretchy and contains most of my bust. It's not perfect but I found it to be a reasonable option.

I have one of the Freya Fancies and I think its going to be a winner for lounging in summer, Just enough support for the girls. very soft & pretty with a fair amount of give. I have an XL (38 G/H), so maybe a S or M would work for you?

I was going to suggest Free People--I see someone has already mentioned them. I've never worn a bralette from there, but I know they have quite a few. If you don't see something you like, keep checking back, because Free People seems to get a lot of new offerings every month.

I have never come up with anything I could wear outside like this. I wear a 30 E/F or 32 D/E, depending on the brand. If you're looking for a wire-free spacer foam bra, I recently purchased this and I like it. It's a nice break from wires. It doesn't come in a 30 band. But, the band is not loose so a 32 is fine for me, and I have a 28.5" under bust rib cage measurement. (I hate tight bands anyway.)

Bralettes and I do not get along. My cup size at the moment is UK 34K. Really out of the range of bralettes! I do, however, like a soft, unstructured bra for wearing around the house, that is still supportive enough to wear in public. For that I use Decent Exposures. They're expensive, but I like that they are customizable -- I always have my straps cut 2" shorter than default, and the "looper" stitched down (which makes the bra more structured, but still very soft and comfy).

It's as close as ridiculous breasts like mine are going to get, I suppose!
