Bra suggestions for wearing under white?

In light of Angie's post today "Team Bra or Team Jiggle" I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for bras that would work for under white tops, white t-shirts, etc? I find that "nude" sometimes is too dark. Or pink won't work because it's too bright and shows through under white. I sometimes wear
nude for me sports bras, but they can be uncomfortable, or the band not sufficient for support. I found an inexpensive Maidenform racerback bra that is a good colour to wear under white and is comfortable. Unfortunately, the bra is not very durable, the straps are thin, and the top of the cups show lines through my shirts that I don't like

(see link). I am also limited by what I can get in Canada (no customs duties, shipping fees).

Can't do finds on phone, but Natori has some Really light nude bras and so does Wacoal. Most of their bras are much lighter than your Maidenform one, like really really light beige. Another option would be to use a white or nude to you cami.

I think there was a post several years ago where several people mentioned wearing silver or lavender instead of white or nude bras.

Nude can be too dark for me, too. I've had success with blush colored bras, very pale pink, and also a "French vanilla" which was basically a pale yellow cream. And I've also accepted that with some whites, there will be a little show-through. I just want to make the attempt and avoid obvious shadowing.

The trick is to find a nude bra that is close to your skin tone. I'm quite pale and I find Natori's "cosmetic" shade to be good. Also, a solid/not lacy type bra generally works better.

Nude-for-you or blush for pale skin. Black for very dark skin.

I usually wear a nude for me bra or pale grey but I like to wear a white tank under a white shirt to intensify the white. Once, maybe in the 70’s? It was trendy to wear a black bra under white.

I agree that you may have to keep looking until you find a pale nude. I am another who wears the Natori Cosmetic shade. I am very pale.

Check out Warners bras at The Bay - lots of colours, a few shades of natural. I have had good luck with those and they have some very comfortable non-underwire styles. Here's one example:

I have become a fan of Simone Perele's tee shirt bras. (Keep in mind, this brand will fit best if the volume of your breasts is spread out across your chest. In other words, if your breasts are cone-shaped, Simone Perele won't fit as well as if they are dish-shaped.)

Their "peau rose" color is invisible on me under even the thinnest white tees.

For me, I find that a pale pink works, or a light nude, but I also wear a pale blue bra under white and that works well too. I think the issue is more contrast than color, and frankly, I don't totally mind a tiny bit of color showing through as long as it's not too sheer.

I wear a white camisole over my nude undies, and that works perfectly with my skin tone under any white top.

I wear a white bra with a white camisole over, and then the white top. This looks best on me but does mean an extra layer.

Jenni NZ and Angie, yes, I do sometimes wear a cami underneath. As you mentioned Jenni, it does mean an extra layer which is sometimes too warm, but definitely a good idea.

Wow Carter! That sounded so crazy, I had to try it. And it works! I am pale and just have a burgundy bra, so it was a little dark. But it was almost invisible. And how much cooler is a red bra strap if one happens to show? Searching for a red option now.

A red bra under a white tee says Carter. I may need to go shopping in a white tee to test this out. I'm intrigued.

Today I have the red bra on. Then I remembered this topic, so I have to try it out. I have plenty of white shirts and wear white regularly. Wow, it works! I'm impressed. No more searching for future nude color bra in the future. Thanks Carter.

Although, now I have to wonder if it would work with undies, but I do not have white pants or shorts.

I live in Canada and shop in independent lingerie boutiques. I find they have the brands I like. I wear nude under cream and ivory. I plan on trying the red bra out. I have one that gets little wear.

My new favorite bra is the fully coverage push up from aerie. I use to have to order my bras from Bravissimo, expensive. Then VS expanded their size and carried 34ddd. The quality has went down sooo much! I was elated to find aerie carrying my size now! They cover hard nips but don’t have extensive padding making you look huge! They are super comfortable, cheaper, and support enough.

I’m kind of annoyed now that I don’t like red!
Otherwise I agree with Neelie, last time I went to the Bay there was a variety of blush and nude-for-me options I hadn’t seen in the past. Too bad about the complete lack of service! I need to go bra shopping soon.
