Bra sized swimsuit- good idea for a one

Swimsuits with the flimsy boob cups are no longer supportive enough so I am looking for alternatives. How do you buy these bra-sized suits. I am a size 30F and a women's 8.

There seem to be some online places like Bare Necessities that stock them. I have bought them in swimsuit stores in major urban centres like Toronto. We are about the same size. I always buy 2 pieces but that is my preference.

I found a 2 piece with bra - sizing for the top, by Freya. I don't know if they do one-piece styles.
Do you need a 'fashion' or 'exercise' one?
There are always better ranges in shops in the holiday locations!

I am a size 30 too, I bought my two Freya bikini tops in a 30DD UK. But I would have a hard time squeezing myself into a size 30 bra sized swimsuit! The few I tried where a 32D. But the bottom part never worked out for me, they seemed to assume small on top meant small on the bottom. I always had bikinis and tankinis because of that.

Lands End and Title Nine both have bra sizing for swim suits. I only buy suits from Lands End these days. Nice fabrics, decent fit and I can try them in at home.

I purchase two piece suits for the reasons stated, and I buy each piece separately, typically from a more athletic or gear oriented company. My reason is because I have a long torso which is also hard to find with a bra size that will fit 32C. I have never purchased from Freya. I have purchased from local stores, but online I would look at Athleta, and J Crew. My daughter who also purchases like this has had luck with ASOS.

at lands end they have suits by cup size…..and if you order today swim is 40% off….(i heard years ago that lands end sold more swimsuits than anyone else in the US, so i'd give them a try because i would assume that there suits work well for most body types. plus they have wide arrange of styles…)

In priciple fitting for bikinis and swimsuits works just like bra fitting. Do you have a favourite bra that fits you perfectly? You might use that as a starting point to research swimwear that has a good chance of working for you if you want to order online. I picked my bikinis after reading lots of recommendations on the bra fitting forum where I was fitted years ago.

Thank you for the great suggestions and links. I had a look around and Lands End seems to be the best bet for a one-piece. I am open to trying a two-piece but will probably stick with a tanking top.

Are you a 30F UK or US? I guess Lands End is not the best option for a one piece - if you pick the size 8 you won't get the support you need on top if you usually wear a size 30 band. And they only go up to DDD (US?). I would look for tankinis and try the linked above Bare Neccessities and Figleaves. If you buy bra sized swimwear you should buy the correct size!

Lands End suits are great. I have two. The thing is if you're a 30 band, I think you'll find an 8 too big - that is if you choose an underwire suit. I take a size 12 suit but an 8 in the bikini top (I'm a 34 bra band). For this reason if I were you I'd choose a bikini top in a 2 or 4. When I bought a tankini top in a 12 it was way too big in the underwire. Oh and it looks like LE is has 40% of swim - ending today. Good luck!

I am a big fan of bra-sized swimwear, but I find that the sizing is even more variable both between lines and inside lines than bras (and that is saying a lot!). I have a new bra-sized swim suit, bought in the same store where I buy bras (Soma) and the size is absolutely not my cup size (smaller) OR my band size (larger)--but was the size that fit me best. I'm thrilled with my suit, but it is hard to wrap my head around the try-on experience.
