In contrast to some recent items I've just been trying out that may not make the cut, I decided to go with these pants from BR.

I was a BR lemming on the gray wool pindot pants even though they may be a "stretch" for me. On me they are tailored straight fit (or at least I hope it is acceptable) and not slouchy, because they are cut more straight through the hip and also low in the rise than what will work as slouch for me. I can't tuck into these--need to wear tops out.

But, the lined wool fabrication called to me for the Polar Vortex and because of its grayed tones, not sharp black & white. This color works well since the colors can be coaxed into blending with my lighter neutrals, (gray, moonbeam & even camel as a stretch) as well as with black, berrries and teal.

Just shown with a few tops to show colors, but I think I will focus on my more fluid longer sweaters for balance. I will wear them kind of scrunched over ankle boot because they are narrow and since the purpose is for winter-warmth, I would not use a pump or bare ankle look, and I wanted a longer legline as well.

I hope this will be a strategic purchase to make easy but warm FFBO's in the winter with simple sweater/pants/boot.
