I’m most in favor of the blue plaid pants.

What say you of the rest. White skirt, the white lace sleeveless top is available in my size (one down) from another store, blazer (rather bright - how do you like the fit?), is green sweater too long? I must be into loose bottoms with these shorts.

Just curious what rises to the top for you.

I really like the blue plaid pants, the white lace skirt and the white lace top. But as you say, the top needs a smaller size.
Love the colour of the blazer, but from the pictures it looks a bit big on the shoulders. I am, however, not an expert on fit, so wait for some other opinions too.
The white shirt is lovely.
To my eye, the green top is a bit too long.
Shorts fit nicely and so does the striped top.

WOW. You look fabulous in so many of these. I do favor the blue plaid above all else, but everything looks so good on you.

Here are assorted thoughts.

The top in number 4 looks one size too big.

The top in number 8 fits poorly all around.

I like the idea of number 10, where would you wear it?

I wish I had thought to try on the top in number 1. My bad. Perhaps I will get a second change.

I love the color of the blazer.

You do wear everything well so it’s coming down to personal taste, and ours might not match! I’ll just put my two cents in on one item Although I generally like stripes I’m not crazy about the shine on that top, and the slightly offset stripes on the collar are bugging me under the blazer (not the angle of them but the way the ends don’t quite match the stripes on the body).

Agree that the plaid pants are a go. I also love the blazer in #2. It looks like a good fit and I like the way you've styled it there.

Jules - I didn’t notice, but I passed anyway. There was another stripe top that I liked the fabric of better, but it literally hurt my eyes to look at it. Somehow the pattern was really dancing and bothered my eyes. It was weird.

Thanks Becky. I have to figure out how many blazers I need. I think it’s too distinctive for a job interview, and then I’d need to make sure I would be wearing enough. I found the color surprisingly flattering.

Ok, here’s what I’ve sorted so far.

I’m getting the first plaid pants in pic 4.
The white sleeveless lace top is being sent to me in a size down from another store. I don’t think it’s on the website.
I’m getting the navy cotton shell in pic 15. It feels good and I’ve been looking for a navy shell. I’ll try it on with what I’m envisioning at home to make sure it works with it.

I’m passing on the stripe top and the green sweater, as well as the navy v neck shell. Sterling - I could see the stripe top being too static-y for my preference. Also passing on the pants in the last pic. I prefer the other pants. Also passing on the white long sleeve top. I just never feel right in that style, and if I did go for one, that’s not the one.

I’m still undecided on -
Pink blazer (I guess they’ve got a pink matching Avery pant, but it wasn’t in store in my size. I think the Sloan fits me better, but if I got the jacket I may want the pants too) Sterling - I thought of your pink suit you had when I tried it on.

Navy pleated shorts. I thought they looked better IRL than they seem in the pic. Maybe it’s the length that’s throwing me off. I’d prefer another inch or two of length. They were super clearanced, and I had been wanting some flowy shorts for the last couple of years. I’d need to tuck a top, I think.

White skirt - I like this. Sterling asks where I’d wear it. I’d wear it to work.

If anyone is looking at BR, they’ve got a rocking sale on their sale, which almost all of this was.

Thanks Elle. I hadn’t tried on their pants in quite a while. Both pants are their Sloan pants, and I found they fit well.

Hmmmm. I remember admiring the striped shirt and then not bothering to try it on. I wonder if I subconsciously noticed what Jules sees.

My last thought is really a question. Are these garments season appropriate or will you have to wait until Fall to wear them? If they are on the heavier side, does that affect your planning?

Sterling - the navy shell is lightweight, and I intend to be able to wear it and the blue plaid pants right away. They do not feel heavy to me. The white top and skirt are obviously summery. The only thing likely too hot for now is the pink blazer.

Wow. Gosh I honestly like everything! Truly I do. Only thing I was also thinking the stripe top looks like it’s made of the kind of fabric that won’t wash very well.

Love the plaid pants and really hope the lace top works in the right size. I like the flowy shorts, too. If you want them longer -- is there any seam allowance?

I love the colour of the blazer. I am not sure of the fit. Did you try a size down?

Suz - they didn’t have a size down in the blazer. It’s sold out online too. I think that’s the right size to fit the rest of me, so I guess I just need to decide If I think it works well enough.

I’m crossing my fingers on the top too. It would be good under things and on its own.

What rose to the top for me were the black and blue plaid pants in #15, the black skirt in #13 and the navy she'll in #15. I also liked the striped top. It reminds me of Suz's similar striped summer top.

Thanks Joy. Both pants were good, but I forgot to check and I think they are dry clean only. That plus wanting to make sure they’re good will limit me to one. That skirt felt nice. It was a bit large, without the smaller size in store. My store was definitely low on sizes in things.

Blue plaid pants are clearly the easiest pick, but I like the white lace set in a smaller size a lot. Lots of good stuff!

I’m pondering keeping the pink jacket and buying pink pants. I think I want a pint suit. Now I just have to figure out if this jacket fits well enough to pull it off.

Those plaid pants you decided to get are winners! I like the other ones too on you. The white skirt -- I am getting the black one that is exactly like the white one. Now in process of finding the just right top for an October wedding. That skirt is so much better in person, isn't it?

CJ - I just tried on the white skirt again with a bunch of my tops. I’m trying to see if I could find it useful as a work skirt, especially after Sterling (rightfully) asked me where I would wear it. I may start another thread with the results.

Angie - I will keep an eye out for a different pink blazer if it’s ever crosses my path. This one I can’t go down in due to tightness over my biceps and bust in a smaller size. It’s just not the right fit overall.

I had ordered the white skirt online in the smaller size. I need to decide between the two sizes which works better. For some reason the one that came in the mail, even though it’s a size down, fits bigger than the one I tried in store in that same size.
