Hi,

I recently popped into BR, and was pleasantly surprised with the latest collection. All of these are up for keep/return votes. And I couldn't resist a little fun styling these pieces with some NAS items from this post.

#1-Wanna Be Megan
I adore Megan's style. The denim shirt and black skinny jeans are from BR. The booties are Sorel's from NAS, and just scream Megan to me.

#3-BR Denim Shirt
This is the denim shirt on it's own, I was hoping it would pair with my cowboy boots. I don't see the shirt online yet to include as a find item. It has a loose fit to it, sort of like a tunic I guess.

#4-BR Black Skinny Ankle Jean
This is a rear view of the jeans. I'm a pear shape at 5'3" and these fit my perfectly, yay no hemming. I went up one from my usual size for these.

#5-Wanna Be Jennifer
I also adore Jennifer's style. The blazer is Vince Camuto from NAS and is an Angie pick. The pants (trousers?) are from BR. I don't remember the last time I work a chino style bottom.

#7-BR Extra Fine Merino Wool Pullover
A thin weight pullover, perfect to layer under my blazers. I took my usual size.

#8-BR Straight Chino
I took my usual size in these, but they are not petite. The petite version was too short on me, odd since I am only 5'3".

#9-BR Roll Sleeve Crew T
I had to go down one from my usual size. This color reminds me of Angie's recent light blue and black post.

Lisa, this is so much fun! I love the way you took the inspiration and ran with it. And, um, are you sure you have to return those fun Sorel boots??

I can't get over the fit of the black jeans. WOW. Hope you are keeping. Denim shirt looks good, too. Fun outfit with the cowboy boots.

The Merino pullover is probably similar to a navy one I got last year at BR -- I found it a super useful item to layer, almost like a merino tee, in a way, yet it stretched adequately to go over a silk shirt if I needed more warmth. Great for travel as well since if is small, lightweight, and neutral.

I won't comment on the chinos since I have such poor luck with this pant style myself. (I order them, try them, tell myself I will wear them, and never wear them.)

You could give these celebrities a run for their money! I was thinking in #1 you should add a long pendant and change your shoelaces to an unexpected color! I love the pants in 4 and 5. Question: are you going to have the sleeves on the jacket in #5 shortened? I ask because I am eyeing that jacket too and as a fellow petite I know the sleeves will be too long on me. I was wondering how easy of an alteration it will be.

Suz-I always find inspiration outfits are fun to try. The Sorel's, I still haven't let them go yet. DH keeps reminding me I do not need another pair of boots and that I always complain about lace up boots, but it's falling on deaf ears. I am still undecided on them. I'm waiting for my last NAS order to arrive and then I will have to decide if the boots are staying. They aren't the most practical boot (check-print, wedge heel) but they are super cute. Why do we always fall for the pieces we don't need? The green chinos, I'm not sure about these yet. Ironically, DH thinks they are cute, but I wonder if he thinks that because he wears chinos himself all the time. I may have to try a few style attempts to see if these are truly keepers or not. How do you care for your navy sweater? It says dry clean only on this one, but I'm wondering how often I'll have to do that.

Angie-BR has a really nice collection right now. And the material of the knitwear was rather impressive. If you have a client looking for a cardigan, this belted one drapes beautifully. And the bow shirt, made me think of you when I saw it.

AviaMariah-Colored shoelaces, a fun idea, and indeed I noticed Megan's are colored in the inspiration photo. I'm happy to hear that you like green chinos, I'm still trying to decide if this is a style for me or not. The black jeans fit like a dream. The Vince blazer, I wasn't planning on getting the sleeves shortened, it hits at my thumb knuckle bone, and every time I go shorter with a blazer sleeve I regret it when I am sitting down and the blazer rises upward past my wrists while seated. The current blazer is a size regular 4. I'm petite for my bottom half, because of my height, but my upper half is regular size and petites usually run too short on me. There are not buttons or zippers on the blazer, it would be an easy alteration to shorten the sleeves. You should give it a try!

Thanks Lisa. I am the opposite from you; petite on top and not always petite on bottom. That's a great jacket I'm just not sure it's a good place to put my dollars right now. But very tempting!

Your styling with inspiration photos is so fun! I love 1 and 3: I vote definite keep on the black jeans, denim shirt, and Sorels.
The blazer also looks great; I would probably shorten the sleeves, as AviaMariah brings up.
I'm less convinced on the chinos. Like you, I find it strange that the petite was too short--were they supposed to be cropped? I think I might prefer the style rolled above the ankle, rather than worn at full length.
