Angie, here's the trench done all the way up.
racheylou, I think I have an odd sentimental attachment to London Fog. I had a bright red LF raincoat as a child and I have vivid memories of wearing it over my Easter dress on a rainy day and feeling ever-so-perfect.
Suz, you made me laugh. My house is best described as "cluttered," but I hope it's in a homey way.
shiny, you're totally right. I didn't mention that, but I also wish the boots were a bit taller.
lisap, the funny thing is that my legs are short for my height! By the way, that triptych is a vintage map of Denver printed on metal plates. It was a Christmas gift from my husband a few years back, but he got it from here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/ArtHouseGraffiti
Firecracker, my snow boots died last season, so they're actually a real need for me. Not quite a desperate need yet, though. I need to remind myself that it's still only July. Your comment about the black working in a more polished style is interesting. I actually had a black trench that I wore to death when I lived in Seattle. My style was (slightly) more polished then, but I also had a lot more color in my base wardrobe, which may have worked to set off the black.
