I'm not quite sure how it happens, but at first glance I find nothing at NAS that catches my eye and then the next time I turn around, UPS is depositing multiple giant boxes on the doorstep. Oh dear! Here's box #1.
Pic #1: DVF wrap dress. I really love her dresses but have never bought one. This is a size 6. It definitely needs a cami for work but would be great without one for data night. Super fun print, but I can't help but wonder if faux-wrap dresses are better on those of us that are short waisted rather than true wraps. Hm.
Pics #2-4: Classiques Entier moto jacket. Oooh boy, I can see why this is one of Angie's Top Picks. Buttery leather, beautifully made. I pulled my hair up so you can see the collar. The collar is fairly sleek, but it's still a lot of look...maybe better on those who are long-of-neck or short-of-hair? Love it anyway. Pic #4 shows the jacket without the collar. The sleeves are slightly long in the Regular Small. I have a Petite Small on order for comparison purposes.
Pic #5: Vince Camuto contrast blouse and Rag & Bone 'The Skinny' jeans in fatigue. The blouse calls to my love of tipping. The Regular Small was large in the body while the Petite Small was narrower in the body but the sleeves were too short (this is the petite in the pic). Needs a cami. I'm going to give the Regular XS a try.
I wanted to love the Rag & Bone jeans better than I did. These are a 27, which is my usual size, but like most premium skinnies, they were tight in the legs. Very tight. I could have sized up, but then they'd have been much too loose in the seat and waist. Super soft, stretchy material. Just too narrow for me and felt like leggings. For comparison, I really love Kut 'Diana' skinnies which are slightly more relaxed and have a bit more structure.
#6: Caslon moto sweater. This is a size Small. A little large and boxy, with a soft, loose knit. Nowhere near as structured as it looks in the Nordstrom photo. Not a great look on me, and given the other items heading my way in the mail, it didn't make the cut.
Last, the Born 'Pirlo' booties. I didn't take any picures but wanted to report in. Super comfortable, nicely padded insole, and they fit under my jeans. A rounded (not almond) toe that does't really show up in the Nordstrom pics. Felt good enough I'm considering them for our trip to Amsterdam/Paris in the fall. That said, I've never tried Born before, and these felt a bit big in a size 7. I usually wear a 7-7.5, so Id be surprised if a 6.5 fit, but I'm going to give the smaller size a whirl.
There you go! Hope this helps somebody else, and I'd love to hear your thoughts as well.
