Hi ladies. I wore my new Boutique 9 peep toe oxfords today, and managed to step one foot and shoe into a pan of dirty motorcycle oil (don't ask -_-). They are no longer available in my size. If anyone who bought these from Amazon for the $40 got them in multiple sizes in the taupe color, happens to still have a size 8 that's waiting to be returned, and would be willing to sell them to me for cost of shoe+shipping please PM me. I'm really, really bummed right now

Sorry I don't have them or that size. I remember seeing them at Nordstrom last spring. I don't suppose they have them at the Rack?

Or, after they dry out can you stain / dye them another color?

I just returned a 7.5, because they sent me that size in a size 7 box (which is the one I had ordered). Good luck finding a replacement.

this is going to sound really crazy, but have you considered dipping the undipped shoe into the dirty oil, then thoroughly cleaning them both so they match? would they then be a darker, more weathered, more worn looking pair of shoes, like so many you can even buy new that come out of the box looking weathered and worn? you could still look for another pair of the pale shoes, but at least the others might not have to be trashed. (the only reason i think this might work is that i used to deliberately dip my work gloves in used motor oil, it kept them conditioned and softened, and they lasted way longer than my co-workers' gloves). they wouldn't be the same shoes you loved, but they might be a different, unique colored shoe that you might like. Unless of course they're a hideous color, or the oil stretched them out so they're unwearable. Anyway, so sorry about your shoes. Hope you locate another pair of pale ones.

I was also going to suggest dipping the other one in the oil as well so they match. I have no idea how the leather will do with all that oil on it but it might buy you some time until a replacement shows up on Ebay.

No suggestions but I am so sorry to hear about this. My heart just drops when I make a clumsy mistake with a favorite piece. I too wonder if dipping the second show in oil and re-dying both might be a way to salvage them-nothing to lose, right?

Have you tried to take them to the cobbler to see if they can be cleaned professionally?
