Kimlee's post about her pinup shoot inspired me to share mine. This is not something I would have had the courage to do a few years ago, nor is it something that I would necessarily have paid for myself... but...
A photographer friend of mine is trying to build up her business (she specialises in preggy and birth photography, but wants to do more boudoir work too) and she ran a little competition on her facebook page to win a free shoot. I was the "winner" and after lots of postponing, we did the shoot! The shoot was fabulously fun... helped by the fact that I was quite comfortable with my friend as the tog.
She asked me if she could post some of the pics to FB, because she wants women to realise, no matter what their shape or size, that they are beautiful. I hesitantly agreed and I have to say the day the photos went up, was probably one of the most exhilerating and scary days of my life. Anyone who knows me personally knows that this kind of thing definitely not the kind of thing I would be comfortable with doing so seeing them in public was a surprise!
It was scary, but it was good scary!
