Born sandal sizing

I'm looking at Born sandals, mostly the Belinda, but I'm not sure what to do about the lack of half-sizes! (why Born, why?) I'm usually 9 1/2-10...

Zappo's comments seem to recommend sizing down, but a 9 might be too short for my feet, and the 10 too big everywhere. Anyone more familiar with this brands sizing?

a b&m store nearby has both so I'll run over there tomorrow to try on, but I might as well put this here ^^

I have successfully worn their sandals a half size down, but this was a shoe from a few years ago. If they have not changed their fit, you might be fine going down.

I have (US) 8.5 Wide feet. I usually size up to 9 in Born shoes to get the width, but down to 8 in their sandals -- 9s are much too long and look really goofy when you can see the space ahead of my toes.

If you have any width issues note whether the sandal model has fully adjustable straps. I.e. these B.O.C. Bensi Wedge Sandals are nicely adjustable for both straps.

I find Born's to be TTS. I wear an 8 and I'm an 8

Yikes. I'm a solid 10 in Born and B.O.C. but I am a 10-10.5 depending on the width. I have high volume (widish) feet if that helps.

I find I can sometimes go a whole size down in their sandals - I have low volume tootsies with long toes and find they run at least a half size big on me

I'm a half size like you (although larger) and I can size down to the closest full size with Born and still be very comfortable.

Man, the last time I bought Borns I had to size down a full size to get anything close to fit. That was a few years ago, however.

I agree with everyone that Borns tend to run a little big if anything. So you might be ok with the half size down.

Good that the 9s worked. I have these exact sandals and I am a true 10 and find them a skosh big so I wear Foot Petals in them to keep from sliding forward. They are incredibly comfortable sandals. Hope you enjoy them as much as I have.
