Bored of skinnies, are you?

I have been feeling bored of my skinnies for so long but did not know in what direction to move, but just like THAT it all became clear

I will probably wear skinnies for as long as the shops stock such fabulous tunics but gosh don't the dress fabric flares look fresh.

Anyone else feeling the need for change?

I'm wearing skinnies now as a concession to the style of the day, but I'll be the happiest kid on the block when boot cuts are the silhouette of choice. Skinnies will never be my all-time favourite -- that spot is taken, and I'm ready to have fashion indulge me for awhile!

Wow! I love those trousers. But I'm still digging my skinnies! I wear straight-leg, boot cut and flare jeans as well. Variety is the spice of life.

I like skinnies, but I LOVE bootcuts. I find so far this fall, I am wearing my bootcuts more often. Probably because I like the look of a little bit of boot peeking out from under the jean. I also prefer my bootcuts when I wear a heel. I reserve skinnies for tucking into boots or flats.

I just got my first pair of skinnies this summer (SO behind the times!), so I'm still loving it! Before that, all I had was bootcuts, so I'm just excited to finally have variety again.

I don't wear any one style exclusively - in fact, skinnies are probably my least favorite but I wear them because they are in style and fashionable right now and like you said go with all the tunic type tops that are so popular. I LOVE wide cut dress trousers (denim too) and have several in my closet!

I love skinnies and boot-cuts. They're the best cuts for my body shape. I'm not comfortable in wide legged or flares. They don't flatter me at all.

That is where I have been going wrong. In the UK skinnies have been so ubiquitous that it's been hard to fin another silhouette. I also only have a couple of pairs of jeans in rotation at any one time that my choice is always limited. I love the idea of more options opening up. I'm also very drawn to structured a line skirts. Perhaps I'm just on a 70's trip?

Hmm, I love skinnies - but only in in fall/winter - last winter I lived in leggings or skinnies and boots, before that - only bootcuts, but they always drove me crazy on wet days (I wear jeans on the longer side and they always got damp at bottom). Bootcuts are still my favorite cut, but skinnies and boots are my favorite look, if that makes sense...

No way. I loved my skinnies in the 80s and I love the current iteration. Bootcuts will always have a place in my closet, but skinnies will always have a place in my heart:)

I've never had much love for flares:(

HAHA I've just bought my first ever pair of skinnies... [post forthcoming] Don't do this to me. Can predict gladiator sandals will be on their way out as I've just about adjusted to the look of them too...

I'm a fairly new adapter to skinnies as well but I think that because they are so mainstream now rather than being a fringe trend that yu're just so used to seeing them everywhere. I really like the looser/drapey silhouettes which are out in Oz for Spring/Summer and I intend to get some for a point of difference.

I'm not done with skinnies the way they're worn on YLF, but I'm sooo tired of seeing them on all the kids with tees and flip flops. Ho. Hum.

I'm okay with skinnies but I like wide leg and straight leg as well. I don't look good in boot-cut because I have no hips and feel weirdly unbalanced in them...

Julie, Spring is going to be full of this style of kick flare on pants so start saving your pennies!

I am still a skinnies girl through and through, but love my bootcuts with cowboy boots. I enjoy the drama of 40's and 70's styled flared pants when worn with heels on a certain body type - as I do think that they are hard to wear. Wide leg pants have never been my thing and I'm still not drawn to them. But you Julie - will look killer in them.

I do not discriminate between pant leg openings: love them all and wear them all. I have been wearing skinnies more recently since they have been more popular, but have never retired all the flare /bootcut or even super wide leg jeans and pants. I am quite exacted about flare comeback, time to give my 7 Gingers more play!

I'm not done with skinnies at all. I discovered them a little late, so the silhouette is still pretty fresh in my mind. Plus they're such a lifesaver for wet weather!

I am still having a love affair with skinnies. The look is great for me when I wear my long tunics and BF cardigans. They hide allot that needs to be hidden. I am riding this wave as long as I can.

I ADORE jeans tucked into boots, and I'm not sure I'll ever stop loving that look. Without boots, meh, but I think skinnies and boots were made for each other. So no, I'm the opposite of bored. I just want fall to come to AZ so I can wear my skinnies and boots again!

*chink* that is the sound of the first coin landing in the spring clothes piggy bank. If this is how trousers will look next year I'm in.

I would like to add that my boredom is just a personal thing and I'm the opposite of bored when seeing skinny jean outfits on YLF!

Like Tanya, there isn't a leg opening style I don't like. I love flare styles with my cowboy style boots, so I'll probably pick up a pair of those first. Then replace skinnies and a pair of bootcuts. All in good time.

I am a late adopter of this style, I am not tired yet. I wear anything from wide leg pants to skinnies thought. I still wear flare leg styles. For example, I adore these flare leg jeans. I know they are not everyone's cup of tea:

mmmm...wide legs. I find my skinnies comfy, but for style, I think a nice super-wide leg would be fun...with a fitted top and a skinny belt, and super high heels (OK, in my dreams - my feet wouldn't find that so fab)

I hope that skinnies and straight legs are around forever. I feel sleeker in them and love that I don't have to commit to a heel height like flares and bootlegs require. Also, I don't wear heels very often, and flats seem cuter with a straighter leg. Let's hope all types of pants are stylish so that there are choices.
