This is not a K/R because well, I have no choice but to keep it. My bordeaux jacket from across the border finally arrived. As usual, I couldn't get a decent photo but trust me that the fit is fine.
The collar/length are almost identical to my black jacket. However, it is much more streamlined/less motorcycle/less rock and roll and more elegant. It is almost as dark as the black jacket but as per photos 2&3, there is a difference in hue. The leather of the new jacket is significantly nicer, which is unsurprising since its MSRP is higher.
It's a beautiful winey brown/grape/purple with a nice "depth of color", very similar to the Elie Tahari sangria Tilly jacket from NAS. The Tilly jacket was too long in the torso for me and the collar hit my chin, so I am delighted to find an alternative in the same color.
To be honest, I don't really *need* this jacket. I can't think of an outfit right now where I'd want to wear the bordeaux jacket that couldn't also be completed with the black jacket. I'm ok with this as I like variety but I think my leather jacket capsule is full now!
