Boots: Brown, Black or Both

I bought the BP Runway boots in Cognac (brown) and fell in love, so I immediately ran to order it in Black online at NAS. (still waiting for it to arrive) My wardrobe is mostly black and my color season is Fall and tend to pick "jewel" tone tops. As a SAHM, these low heels seem practical and versitile.... My dilemma is which color should I keep or do I dare keep both colors for the NAS price of $79 each? What would you do?

If you can afford both and don't have either color already, the price is very reasonable to do both.

I don't like that the leather covers the wedge because it may be impractical, especially if where you live rains quite a lot. It will get ruined in no time. I am all for duplicating clothing items, but when it comes to shoes... not so much. I'd probably buy these in brown (it's a very pretty brown) and find a pair of black ones in another style. I think a beautiful shade of brown is harder to find than black.

Love the brown, it's a warm cognac shade that will look smashing against charcoal gray and black... Even though the price seems great, I wouldn' t get the black for the reason Airin posted, the leather covered wedge might prove not as practical for everyday wear if the weather gets rainy or such..

What lovely boots. I adore brown leather with black, the brown are a gorgeous colour too so I would keep both. I then read Airin's comment and that makes so much sense so I guess the brown and look for another pair of black...

I would not duplicate the same style - I like variety! Black is much easier to find than cognac so I would keep the brown ones and look for a different style in black.
Cognac is a neutral and should work with jewel colors and black perfectly.

I think that if you wear a lot of black, then keep the cognac boots.

I vote keep the congac and be on the look out for a different boot in black.

It is a great price, but I've seen a lot of great Black boots at that price. I'd get the cognac (seem harder to find) and something slightly different in black unless you just want to be done with it. I prefer the chase part.

Thanks Ladies You all make a really good point about the cognac one which is a really great color.... I am trying to figure which I would *really* wear more...ie if I will wear the cognac with more outfits.... I only want to keep one.

Hmmm. I think you might find the cognac tricky with your jewel toned wardrobe. I'm going to be a spanner and vote black, unless you LOVE THOSE COGNAC BOOTS.
