Boots! Any of these? Please help!

I'm at Nordies Rack looking for "warm" colored boots - wanting to add some warm colored accessories to my cool colored fall wardrobe. It's just hit me how skinny my ankles and calves are - do any of these work?
Pic 1, 2 and 3 Sam Edelman mid calf distressed suede - I love these but whoa - r they really that big around my legs? Also love the height of the heel - something a little different for my shoe wardrobe. Buckle straps r only sticking out cuz I didn't tuck them in loop- they actually lay flat against the boot.
Pic 2 Jessica Simpson - surprisingly comfy.
Pic 3 Sam Edelman pettys - a safe fallback as I've worn my putty colors into the ground.
So - wat do u think? Should I just walk away???

Marley, I think we're seeing all the same boot here? And I think it is #1. I suspect these are not meant to fit snug around your leg. Many mid-calf boots are like that -- the ones I got at the NAS (Aquatalia) come to mind. They have to be loose because they just slip on. But you can tuck pants in and then the gap closes up.

I like the color of these, at least potentially -- it looks like it would bookend well with the darker blonde sections of your hair.

These are cute! I don't have a problem with the gap.

I also like the Pettys. Different look though, even though they are similar in color.

You list pics 1, 2 & 3 as one boot, and then you list #2 and #3 as different. In the photos they are all the same boot (#1 I think). They are okay (might look better with the end of the buckle strap tucked in), but I would like to see the others.

Marley, any chance to see a full body shot? I find it is very hard toassess the ankle fit without seeing the whole picture.

Marley I also have very skinny legs and the trick to wide booties is to wear just peep of skin colour /camel or similar to boot colour sock. So they are only the same level as the top of boot. It totally makes it look less skinny ankled.

Pretty sure these are all the same boot. But I like them a lot, and I've found most booties aren't supposed to be very skinny-ankled.

Agree all of the above, and I think if you wear them with skirts they would work well with tights in color of the boots. I like these boots at this height better than the tighter ankle ones because I think tight calf make legs look fat. Your legs look perfect--not skinny....

I recently saw a woman in boots very similar to these (they were Mia) and I loved them! The only difference was that they had a slimmer, more angled (cowboy-ish? not sure) heel.

You would look great in these and they fit your style.

Some ankle boots fit me the same way. Like the others said, I think it's just the style of that particular boot. I was self-conscious about mine too, but I just wear thick tights with them if I'm wearing a skirt.
