Hi Ladies,

I shared earlier in the week about the booties I am planning to buy...well I found another pair when i logged in to make my purchase and I would really appreciate your thoughts.

#1 are the booties I was going to order

#2 are the booties I have since found in a crinkle patent

#3 is the same as #2 but the only pic I could find of the boot in a matte leather.

I'm attracted to the lower heel of #2/3 and like them both equally. The boots are quite similar and while I will wear them with pants and jeans, it's really important to me that these work with skirts/dresses.

Do you think I need the extra height to wear with them with dresses/skirts?

Do you have a preference for one over the other?

Unfortunately #1 was on sale but when I logged in today they are back at full price, but I'm not bothered as I think they are worth paying full price. Cost wise there is about $60.00 difference between the booties but again that's not really part of my decision making process.

Love to know what you think please. Been in bed with a tummy bug today and feeling a tad indecisive:)

Sorry about the bug Deborah - I think any of these could work but I'm no help because I would have to see these on before I would know for sure. Is there any way you can buy both & return the one you don't want? The other reason I'm no help is I was looking for black booties too & came home with silver ones:)

What a shame to be off colour on the weekend; I do hope you are coming good.

My initial vote was for #1 but now I'm not sure. The lower cut on #2 might look better with skirts and dresses. As Caro says, you need to see them on.

I love the flatter heel (for me) and need to know where you found them - its so hard to find flatter shoes now!!

Love the higher ones too - I think they'd look better with skirts/dresses.

Anna, they are Hush Puppies. The lower heel ones I found on Ebay (new not used). They are called "Norah"

I agree with the others, but I think it will depend a lot on how they fit on your foot, as you won't want too much "ankle gap", and that's hard to asses from the photos.

Thanks Deborah - I will keep my eye out for some. I like to try on in store first because my feet are so fussy! Hush Puppies are known for comfort so they should be great. Are the other pair HPs too?

They're all great booties, but I like the elegance of the first pair best. However, one thing I notice is that the shaft seems to come higher up. If the fit around the ankle isn't perfect, or if you plan to wear with nude or lighter, more sheer hose, this could be more leg-shortening and might reduce any leg lengthening you would get from a higher heel. So in the end, I think you'd have to see them on.

I love #1but then I love height on shoes especially boots. So there's my bias.

I am partial to the patent ones. I got a pair of patent low heeled ankle boots a couple years ago and wear them a lot. I find the patent shine adds a little interest to any outfit. But agree they are all nice, tough choice.

Cute style. I am a vote for the patent pair - just that little bit more special & I think they will look great with both trousers & skirts. The other black pair come a very close second.

Do you get free shipping and free returns? If so, try both and pick whichever is more comfortable. They look very similar to me, and I think comfort should win out!

Both pairs look great. I'm drawn to the higher heel of the first one, but the lower heel might be more practical but still very stylish with the crinkle patent.
If you'll be wearing them with pants, which height will go with the hem length of the ones you'd wear them with?

I placed my order last night for #1 I can return them but I think they are the ones I got the best price from an Australian based Ebay seller (on line store) and I am a bit nervous. I have been selling regularly on Ebay but this is my first purchase. Hoping they will be here by the end of the week so I can show you. Im off to a conference at the end of next week and I have already factored them into my conference capsule

Just wanted to add - I have a very similar pair from a couple years back in suede and I wear them with everything, including skirts and dresses. I even duplicated them in grey and wear both pairs at least once per week. So, if you find you wear these a ton maybe going back for the other, similar pair would be a good idea?
