Comparison pictures of the Blowfish Hold True and Nine West Cleeo. I'm withholding my thoughts for now. Yes I'm in my loungewear of baggy leggings and a tshirt tunic.

Hmm-- I love the blowfish boots from the side but not from the front. To me they look like horse hooves from the front on you, and a little big/bulky. I rather like the "elf shoes."

I like them both. The Blowfish ones look stylish and sort of city-ish, if that makes any sense. The NW ones don't look too sweet (was that a concern of yours initially or am I mis-remembering?) and the taupe seems like it would be versatile. I could see them both working great with skinnies and dresses. Might be slightly trickier to pair tights with the NW ones, but that may just be my neuroticism rearing its head...The heel looks a bit higher on the Blowfish ones--how do they feel?

It's hard to compare booties that aren't both black. The black ones automatically look better with the the black leggings (even if they are lounge wear).

But both pairs are K-word worthy.

Hmm, well I know I definitely don't like the Cleeos. They are just HUGE around the ankle. I didn't post this picture since it was so dark and I know no one will agree anyway, but I can't get over it. I would never want to wear these with that much of a gap. It makes my legs look like twigs. For $108, they are absolutely going back without hesitation.

The Blowfish I'm not 100% sure of. The heel is higher than Zappos says--much higher. They feel comfy but I don't have confidence that they'll be comfy after tons of walking. They also gape but it is much more acceptable.

At this point I think both will be going back, sadly.

Maya - you are reading my mind. I completely agree with you on the Cleeos! The others look really cool to me - I like the heel, but if too high for what you need - then send those babies back too!

It's sooo hard to tell if shoes will be comfy just from wearing them around the house! The heel is nice and rubbery--not hard, so there is a lot of shock absorption when I walk. And the toebox is very rounded and roomy. Tough decision.

The black look like the heel is pretty high.

That will give your balls (of your feet! What?) a hard time...

Have you tried foot petals?

I just measured and they are definitely around 2.5-3 inches depending how I take the measurement. That is much higher than I can usually do. Not feeling optimistic But I'm surprised. Usually I can feel the height and for some reason in these I can't. Maybe since they're a wedge and my toes aren't crammed in the front.

It may also depend on how your feet feel on any given day. Some days I have to walk quite a ways for work and I have pairs that feel lovely until I get down to the last 5 of 18 blocks! I love the booties, but I'm just trying to be realistic...Can you afford to keep them if they end up being shoes you can't wear day in/day out? Foot petals can help a lot, but you don't want to use them unless you're committed to keeping the shoe. Also, there has to be enough room in the shoe for them without causing rubbing. You can set them in and try the shoe on without pasteing them in to see if they'll work.

FWIW, I like both. I've noticed quite a few booties with the rounded toe and I like them. The BF also look like they fit reasonably well around your ankles. Do you think these would work with dresses and skirts or are these just for leggings and jeans? It's hard to tell how much the NW gape around your ankle. From the pics, they look nice.
