Hi all! Not very up on boot trends as have been in Sorels for 4 months, as has everyone around me! Realized I need a pair of black dress boots/booties to fill a wardrobe gap. I would like to get something classic, leaning dressy, to wear with jeans or a black wrap-dress and black tights. Open to knee-high or booties. Am picturing something like Kate Middleton's knee high suede boots, but not sure if those are still in (no idea when the photo is from).

Have just sent a pair of slouchy boots out to pasture as I think (??) they are a little dated and don't go with my more simple wardrobe choices.

Any styles you would suggest? Anything to avoid (anything styles on their way out?)
