So I’ve been eyeballing these neon green booties from Ganni for a while. But I wasn’t sure of their sizing fit, I’ve heard mixed things about Ganni shoes.
Around Christmas I was at the downtown Seattle Nordstrom, I was returning a broken candle that was shipped to me.
I noticed these boots were on sale, I asked the salesperson if they had a size 41, she said no, I asked about a size 40. She said they run small. She looked it up, and there was exactly one size 41 in entire company. They had to call the store directly to get them, and because of the online system not recognizing the stock or something. I had to buy a gift card and they ordered it over the phone from the store directly using the gift card. It was quite the ordeal.
Unfortunately I didn’t see the updated reviews on the boots, they were not good. Multiple reviews.
So I waited.
They came, but I was sidetracked by other things. I finally tried them on. Yup, a big ol’ nope. They hurt in just walking to my bedroom to get my phone to take pics. I have a high instep and arch, so boots have always been tricky for me.
But even with that, they’re definitely just off. See the wrinkles over my mid foot. And the weird buckling between the elastic gore and the leather near my ankle. So they’re going back today. Sad, because they would have been fun.
