Body Type Question

Hi all, I'm new to the forum. I would say "be gentle" but having lurked for a while I already know what a lovely bunch you are

I'd like some opinions on what my body type might be. I'm 5'2", about 120 lbs, 35-29-39, and bra size 30E (I think I do have the correct bra size, having perused Maya's excellent thread). I think that I'm a mixture between hourglass and pear, though I'm not sure which one predominates. I also think that I have a short waist, although again I'd be happy to hear opinions.

Thank you for the replies and welcomes! Yes it was a bit intimidating posting such candid shots of myself, but it's better than groping around in ignorance.

I think in the past I would always have said pear; it's only since reading your blog on body types that I started to think hourglass but perhaps with pear tendencies. Certainly if I put on weight I do notice it most on my hips and thighs. I think I have a short waist and relatively long neck too. However it's hard to be objective about yourself, which is why I'm soliciting opinions

By the way, if anyone suffers from insomnia I've posted an essay on the Who's Who thread. I'm still not sure how the post got to be so long!

Hello, welcome and thank you for the encouragement. I lurked for a long time here as well. However, I have yet to post photos. Seeing folks like yourself, delurk and immediately post photos reminds me that I just need to figure out how to use our camera and get photos posted. Having watched others, I know that posting photos is immensely helpful.

I found Angie's post Are you short-waisted? very helpful to confirm that I am, indeed, short waisted (and not just imagining the problems I have with dresses that have a waist, and jackets, and so on).
