well, here is evidence of my macy's trip:
1) jonesNY flower print dress
2) jonesNY faux wrap dress (beet)
3) nine west dress
my apologies for the tired eyes and darb hair. it was a hot day, and weary road traveler indeed
conclusions:
1) LOVE!!! was very worried about the horizontal pattern making my hips look bigger. ok, they kinda do anyways. maybe this counts as one of angie's 'surrender your body type rules' or something like that. the neckline, sleeves and length make me feel classy. but the print makes me feel bold and feminine! it feels double lined, which smooths out bumps but still feels very stretchy.
FYI regarding size: although i qualify as a 4 in the size chart (yeah right), i picked a 6 & 8. the 8 fit perfect!
can't wait to wear it with pumps, black booties + tights, knee high boots + tights, flats...
2) LOVE!!! i didn't think much of it on the rack, but was attracted (again) to the neckline, sleeves, length, and vibrant color (i don't look good in the muted earth tones in stores right now). also feels double lined, so it smooths out the backside and waist nicely.
i'm going to return them w/ my fiance (and his macy's card, lol) to get some extra discounts, in addition to my saved up gift cards from christmas/bdays.
HOWEVER, please slap me out of it if they are less than a 10. specifically,
NOT FLATTERING in cut, color, fit, etc...no prisoners!
dresses (as well as their colors, textures, prints) always set my emotions free. please be my practical, left brain team because my own left brain is locked in the basement right now, courtesy of miss right brain
thanks so much ladies...and thank you laura for looking so fabulous in it to help some of us take the plunge!
