Boden skirt and chore jacket

Fresh out the bag! A lovely new jacket and skirt from Boden.

I think the jacket is great, good colour, good fit. Not quite got the fullness of the Scotch and Soda version, but this is shorter and so probably better for me.

Then the skirt, I love the print, but I think it is too much fabric and may be the print overwhelms me? There isn't a petite version. May be I could shorten? But it might cut the print awkwardly.

Jacket also with my fav dress, the Top Shop mesh.

I would so welcome your thoughts; I think I may keep the jacket and return the skirt?

Regarding the skirt - I don’t think it is too long and I like it, but you need to love it too.

I am coming round and may be I have a capsule buildings print kind of thing, and accept that I wouldn't wear the skirt loads, but it will be a joy to wear when I do! But what Anchie says, I need to love it....thinking!

I love both pieces on you! The colours couldn’t be better. The skirt looks like a perfect length, but if you’re undecided make sure you try the outfit on with the shoes you intend to wear.

The skirt in 1/2. It combines 2 favorite types of print motifs....watercolor and architecture. The jacket is a keeper for sure, with both the skirt and your mesh dress. I wanted the jacket but it was sold out. I hope it will come back into stock.

I love the print on this -- I've been ogling the dress version but with a V neck it probably wouldn't work on me -- the skirt might be better. The print feels so fun -- 50s retro!

I love the jacket and skirt on you! I tried the skirt also but it did not work for me -- the fit was off. I remember that the skirt also felt quite heavy, which is not necessarily a bad thing. But you probably won't forget you have it on. Maybe this is part of what makes it feel like "too much" to you as the wearer?

Thank you all so much for your kind comments. I am more in love with the skirt now! I have ordered the dress just now and will choose between the two.

Runs with Scissors, that is so so helpful and I have ordered the dress, so that I can see if that is any easier and I feel less crowded in.

Suz, it is a lovely weight of fabric, and yes 50's retro, Do try the skirt, it is lovely. I think it will super on you especially as I think you are a little taller than me.

Love both! I think the skirt length is perfect, looks the same as on the model. I agree with Windchime that it’s nice to have two very different looks with the same jacket.

Both items are fab, please keep the skirt, you have a slim waist(and figure) so you really can do with the retro fullness and the print is gorgeous!!!! I have a belly so am ruled out for pleats on hips and too much volume but adore the look! :-))
