Argh!! You know how a few of us were moaning last week that Boden USA went on sale before Boden UK?

I just hit refresh on the Easygoing Silk Dress window I'd had opened and been stalking all week, only to find its already sold out in my size now that it's on sale.

Boooo! I've been stalking that for months. Can someone please quickly say something nasty about the dress that makes me feel better for mssing out?

Did anyone manage to score anything in the Boden sale that they had been lusting after?

Tam, I went to their website as soon as they emailed me that the USA sale was on and they were sold out in my size of everything I'd had my eye on. But when I checked equivalent sizing for the UK website, the items were there and available. I think they pull some of the merchandise and some of the sizes before these sales. I've noticed that JCrew does the same thing with the sale section of their website--when they offer an additional 30 percent off everything on their sale page, half the merchandise vanishes and then magically reappears as soon as the sale expires.

All I'm saying is, don't give up hope! I've stalked plenty of things on Boden's website, hoping somebody might return an item that is out of stock, and I've had success with this. If you really love the dress, just keep stalking it and waiting patiently.

I wasn't expecting the Boden USA sale, so when I received the email about it, I immediately clicked over and started loading up my cart. I "shushed" my husband and kids and told them how DIRE it was that I make my purchases quickly before the sizes I wanted were gone. I stocked up on shirts for my boys and ordered two dresses and some flats for myself. They have yet to get here.

I'm sorry you missed out on your dress. That usually happens to me, too, particularly with the kids' clothing, but this year I moved quickly and hopefully everything will fit!

Don't give up yet, Tam. I've noticed that an item or size can reappear. I'm also guessing that returns might be added back to the inventory.

What do you all think of the Autumn preview that Traci posted? Maybe I am just in a crankypants mood after missing out on the dress, but I am extremely UNDERWHELMED!! Too many ditsy floral prints for my liking. It's interesting because I could have quite happily worn most of last years catalogue. I only looked quickly but didn't see a single item in this one that I felt like stalking!

Sorry Tam, I didn't mean to leave out your original post! Definitely keep checking back. Returns are bound to happen. I once felt disappointed that I missed out on a pair of Boden flats, but they popped up again and ended up being even less expensive!

...of course they ended up being hideously painful and I ultimately sold them on ebay, but that's not really the point.

Hi don't know if this helps but I have a few Boden dresses and and on some i've had to size down. As this is quite a loose style might be worth a go.

Maya I'm glad you like some of the things. As for me I will have to sit this Boden season out. My wallet will be happy with this at least. (Though I'm gonna keep stalking that original dress just in case

tam, would it help to know that I've only kept about half of the Boden dresses I've ordered? It would probably fit funny on you. Any better? If not, I hope it pops up again.

Tam, I checked the USA sale site this morning and an out-of-stock-in-my-size dress I was eyeing b/f the sale is suddenly in stock again, and still on sale! So seriously, be patient, keep the faith, and check their website frequently...

Traci, thanks for posting the link to the fall sneak peak. Though I'm reluctant to look at cold weather clothing right now, I'm already in love with the Printed Black Mini in black tulip. Sigh...I'm becoming so addicted to patterns...

Oh Tam that's terrible that you missed out - I cant help though because I just looked on their website and in love with ALOT of stuff on there. I just cant justify the prices though once you include the conversion to AUD and the shipping. But it has inspired me to try to get a bit crafy and crack out the sewing machine again, I'm sure I could try to duplicate some of those lovelies. Shame there isnt a store in Australia like this!
