Boden Richmond Pants - YouLookFab Forum

(Sorry for the terrible lighting. Taking photos of black pants on a sunless day is hard!)

Placed a big order with Boden and it seems like I might have found a company whose pants actually "get" me. These are the the Richmond Wide Leg Crops and the Richmond 7/8 Pants, both 4R, which is what the Boden "Fit Predictor" recommended. I have a feeling I should exchange for a 4P rather than shortening these (I think the slightly shorter rise on the Petite might fit me better, and I need the shorter inseam anyway). Yes?

Also, can anyone who owns these speak to how much they stretch out during the day? They feel substantial, but also really stretchy. Should I size down in anticipation?

Finally, are these both keepers? I definitely want the ankle pants for year-round wear. I really like the idea of the wide leg crops, and this would be an easy way to give the silhouette a test run (my two year old doesn't like them, but maybe his eye just hasn't adjusted ).

GREAT fits. Try the petites in the second pair. The wider pair look fine at that length.

I have a pair. I haven't had an issue with them stretching out or bagging at all.

Edited to add: I had to have my 7/8 shortened too, though I'm not petite. Luckily, my tailor was able to replicate the side vent after hemming.

They both look fantastic on you! I love the crops especially. The others will be super for all year (well, except in very hot weather). I like the idea of maintaining the side vent if you can.

Thanks Jenn! I was hoping you'd chime in. Glad to know they live up to their no-sagging claims. I'll probably try a petite in the 7/8s so I don't have to pay for hemming.

I kind of want a pair of the wide legs now!

I'm surprised I haven't tried Boden's pants before -- I've always had good luck with their tops. I may be doing some frock shopping with them in the near future.

UmmLila, yep, I don't order from them unless I get one of the % + free returns coupons. They send me a catalog every week it seems like (and they have great kid basics -- I think my 2 year old has more Boden than I do!).
