I ordered the skirt (returned because it didn’t fit). The color is true to the photo - a warm rust color. The material is a thicker wool, almost tweed feel. It would look really beautiful with navy, cream or teal.

I haven't seen it in person but I adore this rust tone. It doesn't suit me now with my grey hair but when I was blonde (and briefly in my 30s when I dyed my hair red) it was fabulous on me and I adored it. It looks superb with dark blues, denim, cream, white, black, grey, some greens, some purples even.

I tried the Stirling cords in Conker a couple months ago. I returned them because the fit was odd on me (too tight in the thighs; too loose everywhere else), but I was also a bit disappointed in the colour. On my monitor it looks like a rich brown with a bit of red in it, but IRL I found that the red element was more dominant. It felt more like a burgundy to me than a brown. Almost a pink undertone, IKYWIM? Nice colour, but not one I have a good track record with for pants.

That's a great color (although I have never heard the word "Conker" before -- I would have just called it "rust"!). I am always oddly attracted to this color even though it's not my most flattering. I have a faux suede moto jacket in this color that doesn't get a lot of wear, but it was inexpensive and fun to shake up my usual color palette.

I love the idea of that skirt with black. Or cream. Or black AND cream.

Conker is another word for chestnut. The big horse chestnut trees - sometimes called a candelabra tree - let go their chestnuts and conk you on the head.

I love that coat! Emma Hill is one of the bloggers I follow. I like the idea of the conker being a warm chestnut colour but if it has a pink undertone like La Ped says then it would not work for me. These are some other sweaters in that colour. So hard to tell online.
