Boden clams - amount of stretch?

I just ordered the Boden clams in white and vintage denim since they are on sale and have been marked down to $32.00. I decided to go with the smaller size after reading past threads on sizing.

My question is whether there is a significant difference in the stretch between the two different colors? I know some of you have them in both colors. I see that the vintage color has 11% spandex while the white only has 3% spandex.

Also Debora, I’d love to treat your daughter to a cuppa when I'm next in NYC. Do you think she might fancy that idea? Or would I just be like an annoying fly she’d like to swat. Oh you guys are too cute. I am so happy that you are going to meet for a cuppa. Angie you are such a loving person and it is so great how you reach out to others to share.
I was going to give my 2 cents on the Boden clams earlier but I actually don't know how they stretch out. I ordered them and had to return them and exchange for a larger size. I haven't received the larger ones yet. They should be on their way and I'll let you know how they work for me.

Debora, I have the Boden clams in the vintage wash and they don't stretch out too much in my experience. I tried the white but returned them. They were more of a cream and I was looking for optic white. I can't compare the stretch on the two colors, but I've enjoyed my denim clams this summer and have no complaints.

I don't think that either pair stretched very much. Dani is right -- the white tends a bit toward cream. Not a lot, but as she said, it's not a bright white.

I love them. I wear the white ones all the time and just duplicated when they went on sale.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the smaller size 6 (10R) will fit They sound perfect for a MOTG. With an active teenager still at home, I could really use these.

San, I hoping I don't have to return them for a larger size because I think their stock is starting to get low. I was counting on a little bit of stretch. I'll post pictures when I get them to get everyone's opinion on the fit.

Laura and Dani, I had heard that the white ones weren't an optic white in previous threads but, after having spent two months trying to find the perfect white clams, I don't think that will matter to me if they fit. I'm glad to hear that you liked them so much that you duplicated them, Laura!
