BOC Heeled clogs, oh my. - YouLookFab Forum

Had the most sartorially-fascinating experience today. I talk about it more on my blog, but I attended a bridal event with hundreds of well-off women doing various versions on expensive smart casual. I felt like I fit in with with my dark denim, new heeled clogs, and cascading cardigans, but it was really eye-opening to be surrounded by so many women wearing similar outfits. I saw 3 separate wearings of my polka-dot ruffled LOFT blouse -- which I had considered and rejected wearing myself.

Anyway, the point of my post is that I finally succumbed to the clog trend, and with a fabulous pair of suede heeled ones for fall. Love them -- they are B.O.C.s from DSW.

Incredibly comfortable too. I wore them for about 5 hours walking all over the city shopping and standing around, and the only complaint I had was that my feet were too hot. It wasn't quite cool enough for chunky suede all day long, but I bet I was more comfortable than all the girls in chestnut boots! Or any boots -- there were a lot in all kinds of colors, but the chestnut ones were the ones catching my eye.

Anyway, I m glad I joined in the clog trend. They're going to be a lot of fun, and as a bonus, my husband really likes them. He keeps complimenting me every time he sees them. LOL!

I am biased against clogs, but wow, I think those are pretty stylish. You look great.

And I laughed when I read your post, because I went to a dinner party on Saturday night, and all of the women were wearing dark wash jeans, cascading cardigans, and interesting shoes with 2-inch heels. It's the uniform of the 40ish crowd in my town, apparently!

Thanks, you guys are too funny! Taylor, those are definitely clogs; they've got that unmistakable chunky front, and that heavy covering over the entire top of the foot doesn't feel like anything else but a clog.

How funny, Kristen! I don't know why but I always worry about wearing the same thing as someone else. You made a great choice with that praline cardi and jeans. You look effortlessly fab! The clogs are to die for. I can't believe anything with a wooden heel can be comfortable. I rarely comment on blogs (because of the whole logging in thing) but I love reading your posts. Who knew there were three different types of pierogi-- my MIL only makes one.

OMG, Kelly, what is the only pierogi you have had? that's so sad! There is: sauerkraut, potato, cheese, potato *and* cheese, prune (YUCK), and sometimes sausage. I am sure others too but those are the ones we have.

And yes, the wooden heels were perfectly comfortable. If anything, it took some getting used to the clomping around feeling, but the comfort was absolutely there.

(FYI, I allow anonymous comments on my blog. I get a good number of them, actually!)

Lol! MIL makes the potato and cheese. I think I'd prefer the sauerkraut ones--those sound good for some reason. I love cabbage and pickled stuff so those would be right up my alley. I'm pretty sure I could live without trying the prune pierogi. That doesn't sound very appetizing : P

Kelly, at the next meal with your MIL, make sure you refer to the sauerkraut as "kapusta". She will think you love it so much you learned the Polish word for it, and maybe she'll serve it. Mmmm.

Tam, I am a big fan of the cheese ones too, but we make ours with farmer's cheese. Close to cottage, but not quite. I steer clear of the cherry ones, though. Leaving more for you!
