Bobbi Brown Jones Road

I’m intrigued by Bobbi Brown’s new company/makeup line Jones Road. (I’m a fan of her products in general.) “Clean” and “Simple” appeals to me right now. Has anyone tried Jones Road? Your favorite products in the line?

I'm a Bobbi Brown fan and purchased the Miracle Balm in au naturel. This particular color has little if any pigment, which is what I wanted as I just wanted something to try to liven up my complexion without adding any color. It does have a fragrance that some people have negatively commented about. I would best describe it as ginger-y. It's a little more greasy than I would like, but I've warmed up to the product the more I've used it. I use it on my cheeks and also lips. Overall, I'm happy with it. That's the only product I've purchased from them.

Rachylou: Bobbi sold her original company quite awhile ago but stayed on as an "employee" for a number of years. She left for good maybe 4 or 5 years ago and did some other things before launching Jones Road. I think she and her husband renovated and opened a hotel after leaving the original Bobbi Brown and she also started a line of nutritional supplements.

I bought one of the kits when it came out and now have the face pencils but I really only use these products on the weekend for a non makeup look if that makes sense. The balms are sticky but they feel moisturizing and I’d imagine would work well in a drier climate. I’m astounded at how well their foundation matching service works—the one where you email a photo and they suggest products. I haven’t had that much success even in person at the counter! Anywho, if you have any questions, I’ll check back in. The blush stick is fantastic as a cream blush. The balm is nice but is a bit sticky. The eye pencils are great and don’t irritate my eyes but I still like my sephora ones. If I had to chose one product that I couldn’t live without, it would be the blush stick. I actually use that during the work week now that I think about it.

Thanks Allora and Kelly…I thought the balm and face pencil looked interesting, based on the videos I’ve seen. Not sure about “sticky” and “greasy” as we head into hot and humid weather but I may give them a try once I figure out what shade I want. I didn’t see the foundation matching service on the website…will have to check that out!

rachy…I still purchase the older Bobbi Brown products so I was surprised when I saw this new company.
