Dear Fabbers, so when away recently, I made a very silly mistake, and left my work horse black culottes behind in a hotel. I called a couple of times, sent emails etc, but to no avail.
So, this week I have updated my wardrobe with new culottes and branched out slightly, into plum coloured, and chosen two blush blouses to wear with them. I've also purchased some new earrings, which I am enjoying wearing. And all items will look great with some existing items, a plum Michael Kors bag and a Club Monaco boiled wool coat, both sales items from last year, and a summer Boden shirt which I almost was going to say farewell too, but I will enjoy wearing longer now. I just wouldn't have thought that I would branch out in this way, so it is a delight to discover that I think it will work.
There is a similarity with the two blush blouses, but I think it will be good to be able to wear the heck out of the culottes for the coming few months and have flexibility to do this, as well as wear the blouses with other items.
I hadn't realised how flexible blush could be, but thinking it through we have evening drinks on Wednesday at work, and I think I will wear the blush silk shirt without the tie, with my green velvet pleated skirt. I've not worn the green velvet skirt to work, and really it isn't right for day to day, but I think it will be perfect for the drinks event.
Thank you for looking and all comments welcome!
