Bloomies girlfriend blazer

I went to Nordies to return those shoes (which they did take back, yay) and stopped by Bloomies to check out that blazer. What say you?

This top intrigued me (of course it did, it has a zipper) but I'm not too sure it was meant for a shorty like me.

Oh yay, I'm glad they took the shoes back! Did you ever find the receipt?

I love the blazer! Did you get it, or just try it on? I am undecided about the top... something seems a bit off, but I can't put my finger on it.

I just LOVE that jacket on you! And with that top you have under it it is just stunning.
The blue top is too long for you I think. It also looks like it is too snug in the hips but maybe it is intended effect...

THat's my one hesitation Laura. The quality is good, but it's polyester. I feel like I could get one of equal quality at h&m for $20 less.

Yeah, I doubt I'd get the top, but it was a different style so I decided to try it.

I can't decide on the blazer. I like it and it's exactly what I was looking for. I guess I just think for a friggin polyester jacket, it should really be no more than $50.

I can't afford any of the strong shoulder jackets that are out now. I figured more budget friendly options will start popping up as we head into fall.

I'm torn. The styling is perfect but I just can't seem to get over my mental block about the polyester. It's not that I'm unwilling to wear it (heck, half my closet is cheap fabric), just that the price is not acceptable. It really looks no better than something I'd get from H&M at a much lower price point. I know I'm earning now but I have no idea if or when I'm going to be culled so I have to be discriminating.

Wise decision, Maya.l I bet H&M will get more blazer options as we head toward fall (actually toward mid-summer) and if the Bloomies one is already on sale online, it should be offered at an even better price as the season continues.

That style does look really good on you and the top under it with the Roxannes makes it totally fab. That outfit makes the other zipper top look just meh in comparison. . .

LOVE the blazer Maya and I think holding off for a little bit is a wise move if there's any hesitation whatsoever in the quality vs price issue.

I'm in the minority, but I actually really liked the top on you too...

BTW I have to say, you girls in the US seem to have the biggest change rooms I have EVER seen!! No way could I get a full length shot from one of our miniscule change rooms!
