I did not notice that until you pointed it out. No visible socks with the Nikes though. I wonder if her ankles were cold?

@Adelfa: LOL!!! @Dianthus: Me too. I waded through comments, but didn't see the confession. Still..

Yeah, the seasonal confusion thing drives me nuts. I understand when a blogger lives in LA, or Texas... but one of my favorite blogs features an outfit consisting of: mid-weight, elegant turtleneck (good)...lightweight, wool-blend looking skirt (okay).... and D'Orsay pump with little ankle straps. (whaaaaaaaaat?) and absolutely no hosiery (INSANE).

The photo was taken outdoors... in Helsinki. Bare legs, and the shoes don't even cover the sides of her feet. It's a beautiful outfit I am going to copy in March or April, but not right now.

I really would love to see more bloggers (besides Angie, who is awesome) put together wintry outfits that accurately reflect the climate they are currently in, when the photo is taken.

LBD, I totally, totally agree. In fact, I think a person could start a blog just on that. NOT Seasonally Confused. I would bookmark that blog faster than you can say snap!

Interesting! I always find her outfits very seasonally confused and had wondered if she just wears the outfit for the picture and then changes. I guess her admission at the bottom answered that question.

I'd go one further and bet most of the outfits get worn for a beautiful pic, but not all day running around doing whatever life entails. They are pretty pictures, but mostly fantasy I'd wager, unlike Angie's.

Her confession is in the fine print/credits at the bottom of the last photo, before the comments. It links to her outfit with the sneaks -- I think that look is pretty rad!

And hear,hear on bloggers that post real outfits that they wear throughout the day! I like to look at pretty styling as much as the next person, but I always think of street fashion as what people are wearing as they go about their business.

I prefer the sneakers look, too! As to the no-sock aspect, I've been experimenting with footies--instead of my old standby knee-high stockings--with skinnies lately. I find it can work for temperatures in the 40s (F), if I'm sufficiently warm everywhere else. Which means I need a scarf around my neck and a sweater with a good amount of wool or cashmere.

You know, it's funny--I've never imagined Blair in Atlantic Pacific actually wearing a lot of her outfits beyond the photo shoot. I mean, I guess I've ore often viewed her photos like magazine spreads more than a photo of someone wearing an outfit she is meeting the day in.

ETA: I just noticed Mo and Sara had the same observation.

I saw that post, and I like the look with her sneakers - more realistic! When I look at her website, I often zoom in to see if she has goosebumps! She should also state, "I am wearing three layers of long underwear."

This is why I rarely look at fashion blogs any more. It's like falling in love with a sailor - nothing I can rely on in my daily life, and it's just going to make me sad.
