People who LOVE their stuff really LOVE it. I went to a home show at a friend's house but I was not feeling it. Others bought LOTS of stuff. I think I am not feeling that blingarific these days.
I'm a Stella & Dot fan. I'm not a seller, but have been a host for a seller before and will be again early next year. I like their jewelry (not all of it, of course - they cater to different styles so not everything is my cup of tea) and the prices are right. One thing I've found is that you really need to try things on to find out what looks good and feels like you. Which is why I personally never order jewelry online but only in stores or at trunk shows like the ones Stella & Dot puts on.
The quality seemed fine.... it just wasn't that exciting in real life... I guess I am moving toward more simple looks, like a single long pendant or earrings or one big ring. They are showing arm fulls of bangles and piled on necklaces. It feels kinda last year to me. The one necklace I liked in the book was teenie in real life and cost $98 for costume jewelry?! Seemed kind of overpriced for what they were showing. Lots of my friends and neighbors ordered mountains of stuff, I guess I didn't want to be wearing the same jewelry as my social group either. It's one thing to have the same seamed skirts as my YLF worldwide sisterhood, another thing to run into people you see all the time wearing the same stuff.
