....because they aren't easy to find.

The Stuart Weitzman darlings went on their first ALL DAY shopping trip with a client last week straight out of the box. (I took a gamble, I know - but I had a good feeling about them).

No breaking in, no extra insole, and no foot pain or blisters at the end of the day. I did use my trusty Body Glide stick though. Sheer delight! THAT is an incredibly well made shoe. AMAZING.

Those all-day shopping sessions are my ultimate test for footwear comfort because I do about 22,000 steps on those days - running backwards an forwards from the dressing room and racing from store to store. And I walk fast too. That's why the darlings are worthy of a blessing.

I had a similar footwear challenge during my conference last week. I served as an "instrument runner," carting drum sets and keyboards, guitars, zylophones a djembes through a hotel built to service Superbowl guests (i.e. huge). I learned how to use a freight elevator and dodge the catering staff in the food service hallways, and gave my old black patent Lifestrides one last chance at glory!

How fitting that your Super-Shopper shoes are gold --- they're certainly "medal worthy!"

They are sharp indeed. That Body Glide tho Angie is the truth and the way. No more blisters. I took a chance when it was recommended years ago.

I noticed that the black version is much different, with a sort of rubber wedge heel rather than the stacked heel--gives a completely different vibe, more casual, less loafer-like.

Yeah, I'm glad there are comfy shoes out there that aren't sneakers nor medical care for the elderly. There are men shoes in women sizes : loafers, oxfords, flat boots. Can't find comfy women shoes (pumps, ballet flats) - but I've probably not tried very hard since I like men shoes, they're often better quality.

The description on them says "ballet flat," which doesn't seem right. These are loafers, correct? What did you wear them with? That is amazing they did so well right out of the box! Fabulous find.

Unfrumped, you're dead right. The black version of this loafer does not look as nice. To my eye, anyway.

Skylurker, I don't think they make mens shoes in my size: 36 or 37. I have very small feet for my height. I do like pretty shoes though - which you can only get in the ladies section. I love these tomboy loafers because the gold is pretty!

Sterling and Bonnie, shopping with me is a good workout. With that and yoga, I get plenty of exercise.

Love the gold. It makes them look so classy. I am seeing more better looking shoes shown under comfort shoes when searching, so maybe they are making more of them. Of course not everything labeled a comfort shoe is going to be comfy for everyone.

I ended up duplicating my Steve Madden peep toe sandal booties that I have in nude with a pair in black for precisely that reason. Comfy shoes that look stylish and you can walk in all day can be a rare beast - so pounce when you find a pair IMHO.

Angie, I am with you -- tears of gratitude for good-looking, comfortable shoes.

I sometimes find SW a little narrow in the toe box. I don't have wide feet in general, but have problem bunions and neuromas that do not do well in a narrow toe.

What are your thoughts on these in that regard?
