Would love input on the fit and look of these three blazers. I really like the long blazer trend - definitely a work uniform for me, and I am loving the 70s plaids and checks.

Picture 1 is an Angie top pick. Love the colors - the pattern is my favorite of the 3, but I’m not crazy about the pads on my broad shoulders. I think it would be more comfortable without them. Would it be easy to have them removed? Would it ruin the jacket? The other two blazers don’t have them.

2 is a BB Dakota blazer, single-breasted, another NAS item:

Not a top pick, but for the price, the quality seems pretty good.

3-4 - Madewell blazer, not NAS. It’s a shorter length - I think it fits fine, but I also think it’s supposed to be more oversized, judging by the model.

Three very different looking jackets here. My least favourite is the Madewell one - it just seems lacking in something and the sleeve length looks off too. I like the middle one for fit across the shoulders but am not fond of how close the buttons are to the front edges. Makes it look like it's pulling a bit. But maybe you won't wear it done up anyways? I like the ruched sleeved one a lot and don't think it's overwhelming on your shoulders. It is a style statement, and looks like one!

OMG #1 all the way. You look INCREDIBLE in that! #2 looks a bit dowdy and buttoned up and (3 is a bit boxy and not as long and lean looking. But you are rocking 1!!!

I’m not crazy about the fit of the Madewell on you — seems too unstructured. I really like #1.

You've numbered them correctly - #1 is clearly a first place winner, #2 is clearly in second place, and #3 comes in so, so far behind. I don't know if it is the short boxiness of it, the double breasted front? That one does not flatter. Number two might be better worn unbuttoned. You look fantastic in the longer jackets!

Do NOT remove the pads. You will ruin the lines of the jacket!

Late to chiming in, but agreeing with everyone else. #1 is the best, and your shoulders look great!

I really like #1, but why, oh, why couldn’t the manufacturer of a pricier jacket not have been more careful with finessing the plaid on the sleeve so it lined up properly with the body of the jacket. The less expensive BB Dakota jacket has a properly cut pattern, but, even in the Find picture, it’s clear the check pattern on #1 doesn’t line up.

But maybe I’m too old school about properly cutting a checked pattern?

love #1! I ordered it in M in both grey and the honey brown, honey brown color twice, and twice cancelled. The grey in M was just too small (sad face), couldn't button. Tempted to order the L (if it were to show up again!) but I'm also in process of dropping a few lbs (8 down! Another 8 to go!) which would put me firmly in that size M. I returned it anyway, not because I didn't love it (i really did!) but you really never know A. whether those 8 lbs will really come off, and B. if they do, it doesn't necessarily mean the jacket would fit how I want.

Keep #1, keep shoulder pads, too.

If only I had a clearer idea of which blazer was the winner - i’m getting mixed signals, ha!

I think i’m getting used to the shoulder pads - they are pretty subtle, not like something out of the movie Heathers, (which is really a fun movie for the fashion alone).

I can also wear my trench coat over the blazer and the shoulders are fine.

I think #1 looks great on you, and has more style than #2. Both are better than #3 IMO.

I found myself in the same boat -- I tried both in the store and defaulted to #2 because it felt more in my wheelhouse. Either just before or after you posted I re-ordered #1 to see if maybe my eye had adjusted to the new silhouette because it really does look fab. I may try to post photos over the weekend, but you enjoy yours -- It looks great!

With some plaids, I'm bothered by a lack of matching (as Gaylene mentions) but in this case, I'm not. It's actually not an expensive jacket -- not that it's the point -- but it's a very "throw on and go" kind of piece and it has that look to it.

I’m psyched about blazer 1 and will share pictures of it in action...when the temps are much cooler - probably October! Others were returned. Thanks so much for the wise input and the kind words. It has been fun to see all of the great NAS jackets here.
