There's lots of change afoot in my closet. I rediscovered some Blazers from several years ago that fit me currently...I think. Almost all of them need the sleeves shortened. I believe the red blazer below is the best fitting of the lot, and the color makes it easier to photograph the fit. It's a petite, so I think the sleeves are ok.

If this one is deemed to fit well I'll use it as my template for fit for the rest of them.

What do you think? Is this good fit? Several of them have very thin shoulder pads like this one. Does it give me too much shoulder?

I like the fit, sleeves a bit long, but shoulders look natural.
I like the style and colour, too.

Thank, Skylurker. It's funny how differently I see things in pictures vs in the mirror. I thought the sleeves on this one were dead on, until I started looking at the pic to post and then I realized they're actually still a bit long...passable maybe, but not perfect. I think I'm so accustomed to too long sleeves that I have a trouble seeing it if they're not at my fingertips.

Looks like a great blazer. I like the colour and the shoulders look fine. I find the sleeves a bit long, but maybe you could scrunch or cuff them until you find time to shorten the sleeves?

Beautiful colour on you, Traci, and the shoulder fit looks good. Can you cross your arms or stretch them out comfortably?

Agree with the others about a small adjustment to the sleeve.

I have full range of motion in the arms and shoulders. So much so that I double checked the tag to see if the jacket has spandex in it. The outside is 100% wool, but the lining has a small % of spandex. It's an incredibly comfortable jacket.

Looks good to me. I always roll my sleeves anyway or fold back if there's a nice lining.

Looks good! I don't mind the longer sleeve length personally, but you could certainly shorten to the more conventionally correct length. Love this color on you.

Looks good to me - but I personally prefer shorter jacket sleeve ....it keeps a less fitted jacket from looking droopy ( or like you're wearing your dad's suit jacket - know what I mean ?) . The red is good on you too .

What is the rule on sleeve length? Wrist bone? Do they move the buttons up? Or do I just lose a set of buttons to the chop?

The shoulder, button, and pocket placement look excellent. I prefer long sleeve shirts to hit where the jacket sleeve hits with the jacket sleeve about .5" to .75" or so shorter. This means the shirt peeks out a bit and jacket sleeve stays a little cleaner.

I would kill to have sleeves look that long on me! It rarely happens. I think it looks great. Sleeves are as smidge long, but not bad at all.

Great looking jacket and great colour for you. Before you decide on how much to shorten the sleeves you might want to try it on with the tops that you plan to wear with it. It's good to get that slight peek out effect on the cuffs I think. But better to have the sleeves too long than too short!

Looks good. I think the sleeves are on the edge of ok - but my sleeves are always too long.

Thank you for all the replies. I almost always scrunch my sleeves, so they would rarely be worn down like this. Also, I don't tend to wear skeeved blouses under jackets, so my cuffs are unlikely to show. I think I'll alter my other jackets to proper arm length and see how I feel wearing them before I take this one in.

I find it interesting that many considered this less fitted because I feel like if it were more fitted I'd get buckling in the sleeve under the shoulder and pulling across the back. I think maybe as an apple, always wearing jackets that just barely button up over my tum, I've just grown accustomed to ease everywhere else.

I've ordered a Boden blazer sized down from this. I'm curious to see how everyone feels about the fit on that one.

Looks very nice. I am having trouble seeing the underarm . Does that fit well? That is always where I have trouble.

i like the fit of this, a lot....as for the sleeve length, if it has true buttons on the sleeve, you could leave the length and fold up the sleeve sort of like a french cuff.

The shoulders look good to me and I really like the color. The only fit issue I can see from the picture is the sleeve length, but I think you could get away with faking it if you don't have it altered.
